The View was discussing META's (Facebook/Instagram) new guidelines for eliminating third party fact-checking and censorship and the conversation grew very tense quickly.  Alyssa kept interrupting everyone to the point where Joy finally had enough of it.  Whoopi also said the n-word (around 2:05 in Part 2) while trying to prove a point about hate speech which shocked both the co-hosts and the audience.  They were creeping into split-screen territory today.

What Alyssa doesn't understand is that there used to be consequences for when ppl would say disgusting things 

 

When Paula Deen in 2013 admitted she used racial slurs to her employees she went on hiatus and lost millions of dollars in endorsements.

 

If the same scandal happened today, I highly doubt the same would happen.

 

I feel like there's not gonna be a balance anymore. It's like by the next 4 years with that orange Buffon in the White House all the hard work that was done to get basic human rights regardless of who you are in this country is gonna go out the ******* door.

I feel like that was exactly Whoopi's point when she brought up the n-word.  She was trying to say that companies must draw a line and have some form of consequences for blatant hate speech.

Alyssa is usually pretty articulate but it'll be interesting to see how she acts moving forward as the conservative voice. I was side-eyeing her critiques of Trump this past year a lot because she was like "he's dangerous and shouldn't be in office!!1!" but like... didn't you support him all throughout his first term including his re-election campaign? You stuck around through all the nonsense and only now, after you played a big part in the nonsense, you're saying it was bad? She probably gets a lot of death threats from MAGAs now for speaking out about Trump so she's probably in a weird spot
