consider iggy's downfall had slowly declined since that meme and she still could hit top 10 after that, plus team was not totally a colossus flop which indicated her demend was there but digital distortion delayed/cancelled is what lost her momentum. if album was officially out, it should have been top 20 nonetheless and she could jump on collabs here there to keep her name afloat.

 

ice was everywhere in 2023 and the fact that she turned down cardi attempt on remix to switch to nicki for quick little hits was dangerous choice to begin with and once exposes come out, she is done done in 2024.

Have you met a southern black woman? Have you interacted with one?. Yea they all don't speak like that but the south has a distinctive voice just like any other part of the US, just like any other country.

 

The question you should be asking is "Why did she decide to rap in a different voice and vernacular than her own rather than using her own voice?"

iggy. looking back she really brought her downfall on by herself. if you were a stan during 2015-16 you'd remember she was going through IT on social media; the meltdowns, fighting random companies, fighting random people, shading britney for not promoting that one song they did together then britney's fans were mad at her, delaying her album, scrapping music videos, trying to headline an arena tour and cancelling said tour because it flopped, cancelling the megan thee stallion and cupcakke tour because it flopped, the hate train was in full force…it wasn't a good time to be an azalean.

As others pointed out, Iggy kinda brought her own downfall, but man, girl has BOPS. Work, Kream and Sip It are still staple in my household.

Iggy was massive. Absolutely massive. I loved stanning her back in the day. 
 

Before she blew up in the US every song off TNC had charted top 20 in the UK and she had solidified herself a fanbase. She blocked herself from another #1 in the US and she's the first artist to have her first 3 charting singles sit at #1, #2 and #3 respectively. 
 

Yes she had a huge downfall but Team still made noise despite not being a huge chart hit and if not for the delay Digital Distortion would have eventually scanned gold and probably had a top 15 debut. 
 

Iggy herself was her biggest enemy, she wouldn't commit to things, would lose her vision. If she'd had released a video for Switch after Annita's team leaked it, it would probably have hit 500M views and scanned platinum and done well in Latin America. 
 

Say what you want about Iggy, personally I don't support her anymore but the music she released prior to 2021 was hugely important to me and she had a loyal fanbase for years.

Iggy was the it rapper (mainly because she had the Eninem effect), so when she had a lyric about being a slave master and people realised she was not authentic she was already left behind. Also, she lacked the ability to properly flow her verses especially during live performances.
