I have friends in the evacuation zone, directly in the fire zone, and some people whose homes are currently on fire, it's awful. 

 

Reminds me of the fires in 2020. I was behind the canyon at the time and the skies were orange and red. Literally felt like the apocalypse. Except I didn't know anyone affected then. Hope everyone in the area stays safe

My power is out and it's not coming back until 8pm and I have a charging block of 54%. Work told us to work remotely and I was supposed to be back today so I don't know.

Pali High where my Mom went to school in the 70's and the house we sold two years ago that my late Grandma owned since the 60's are gone.

 

She was fortunate to have bought when it was quiet and affordable as a teacher decades before it transitioned to a 'star' neighborhood.

 

We knew the fires were getting worse each year since Covid and I'm glad we got out when we did. The weather and views weren't worth it and couldn't afford the upkeep.

 

Trying to avoid cliches to not say thoughts and prayers but these aren't just the well off with fire insurance but a lot of homeless in the Hills as well that tend to move from downtown to be left alone.

I know the winds are strong today, but didn't they just have some rain and snow? People who go to camping just don't know how to behave and know nothing about their campfires or cigarettes.
