There were old religions that preceded Christianity.

I know he certainly "rose" when Mary Magdalene came around.  I'm not sure about the whole story, but I guess if her ***** was good enough, she might have been able to rise someone from the dead.

My understanding is that Jesus was a real living person with lots of influence, but his life story is mix of reality and fantasy.

I think Jesus was a real person but I dont think he rose from the dead. Think about how many people had mental illnesses back in the day that no one knew anything about. Hell, glasses didn't even exist 2000 years ago. Some legally blind person probably saw a tomb thief leaving that cave he was laying in for all we know and that's how it all could have started. It's just not realistic.
