Ewan Chaos Posted Tuesday at 05:57 PM Posted Tuesday at 05:57 PM Love them. People do way too much on them, though agreed I will tease friends who exhibit furry tendencies (as they do with me). The stereotype that most furries are wealthy always makes me laugh but also makes sense since they be commissioning art like crazy. People conflating furries being into entirely human-shaped and characterized versions of animals with actual animals is so funny to me. Like obviously they don't... it's a literal cartoon human with a six-pack with fox ears Anything to pearl-clutch and feel above others I guess
Velvet Night Posted Tuesday at 05:57 PM Posted Tuesday at 05:57 PM I think they're weird, but it ain't none of my business what a person does in their intimate life. If you think dressing up as animals is hot, you do you, as long as you don't hurt any real animals.

Dressing up as cartoon animals isn't beastiality, which is what you seem to think zoophilia is secondly i'm not a native speaker so if bestiality is the correct term, then that. also i've looked enough into the community to know that it's not just cosplay. i don't base my opinions on nothing, i've seen enough of the ****** up **** that goes on in private spaces. i don't really see anything too shocking in that reddit thread? only scat ig 3 minutes ago, Space Cowboy said: And people who get turned on by vampires and warewolves are into necrophilia and bestiality, right? yes, people who want to **** werewolves fall into the same category to me. idk about vampires since while they're technically dead, they're alive. i guess a better comparison would be zombies? people who want to **** them are definitely into necrophilia

Gesamtkunstwerk Posted Tuesday at 06:23 PM Posted Tuesday at 06:23 PM I admire their creativity and their crafting skills to create those costumes. I have to say I find them weird tho, but they're an iconic staple of internet culture at this point

jezebelvictoria Posted Tuesday at 06:36 PM Posted Tuesday at 06:36 PM I'm strongly against beastiality. 1
sweetblindness Posted Tuesday at 06:40 PM Posted Tuesday at 06:40 PM They're a little weird, though I have 1 or 2 friends that are furries that have kind of shifted my perception on the furry community, which I used to believe the negative stereotypes about. I can't really relate to them but as long as they're enjoying themselves and not hurting anyone then whatever.
GentleEarthquake Posted Tuesday at 07:08 PM Posted Tuesday at 07:08 PM Well I enjoy furry art and have a fursona which I don't really use but idk if that officially makes me a furry or not . It's always so funny when yall constantly create these stereotypical conclusions about furries when str8s do the same with us gays. Saying that gays are attracted to all dudes (which a lot of homophobic ppl like to believe) has the same energy as yall saying furries go around harming real animals bc they like to dress and draw like animals with human characteristics.

Edge Of Glory Posted Tuesday at 07:54 PM Posted Tuesday at 07:54 PM 1 hour ago, Redstreak said: Can't wait to read this thread girl it's bad for us ANYWAY…as someone who partakes in the furred arts and has a fursona myself, it might be hard to not be biased, but oh well generally speaking, i dgaf abt ppl being furries. i think the zoophilia allegations fail bc not everyone who is a furry partakes primarily in sex stuff. furry is a blanket trait - it's ppl who like to roleplay as anthro creatures, but ultimately most of what they do is regular socialization and hobbies, but with that common thread helping to link them (tho ofc media based hobbies can veer towards stuff with animal/anthro casts lmao). it sounds funny to say it, but at the end of the day, most furries are rlly just regular ppl lmao! tho it'd be remiss of me to not point out the large amount of furries who do use it as a channel for romantic/sexual exploration there is a big difference between finding a human proportioned anthro animal, who speaks and behaves like a human, sexy vs finding ur neighbors housecat or a pigeon flying around sexy. ur average furry who wants to get d**ked down by incineroar or f**k lola bunny is NOT a threat to actual animals lmao i WILL level that there's a bit of a gray area that makes it hard to distinguish what is "too far" (im kinda uncomfortable when ppl give their furry characters accurate anatomy down there, for example), but it bears repeating, the average furry isn't a threat to animals lmao 1
Jotham Posted Tuesday at 09:03 PM Posted Tuesday at 09:03 PM I try my best to understand them, but the more I try to understand them the more they perplex me. I think part of the biggest controversies with the community is that they are still associated with being very sexual. They've tried to drift apart from that image, but it's still there. I have this friend from college who became a furry. He insists that the community isn't sexual and is very wholesome. I follow him on Twitter and was quietly browsing my feed once at a fancy restaurant, eventually I saw this pic he retweeted of some furry lady with giant **** and I immediately put my phone down in hopes that no one saw it. I was so embarrassed.
Baby Dancer Posted Tuesday at 09:14 PM Posted Tuesday at 09:14 PM I thought it was normal to feel some type of way for Beast from "Beauty and the Beast"?
Bussea Posted yesterday at 05:22 AM Posted yesterday at 05:22 AM one of my closet friends is a furry and he's pretty cool. furry rights for all!
BGKC Posted yesterday at 05:59 AM Posted yesterday at 05:59 AM (edited) Tbh I've never really interacted with many furries. At least not that I know of. It's just something I occasional come across online (against my will)… I do have a feeling that attachment anxiety and/or social ineptitude plays a major role though. Gladiator Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago I don't really understand it, but I also don't have any thoughts beyond that and no inclining to try to understand it. It does not concern me.
