I'm not trying to be a hater by posting this, this is a genuine question. After his Kendrick beef I can see a lot of people express long-held distate for him which was not there a few years ago. Why?

He was a fad who overstayed his welcome. He uses streaming farms to boost his numbers but can't score a real hit or connect with his audiences. A lot of his material is stolen or ripped off from other acts and he spends a lot of time with girls that are way too young to be around him.

It's funny because last decade he was supposed to be bigger than MJ and have the biggest peak ever. Now, Morgan Wallen has decimated his peak in the U.S. and other male artists like Bruno Mars and The Weeknd keep scoring hits bigger than any Drake song ever (Blinding Lights, Save Your Tears, APT, Die With A Smile).

unfortunately he hasn't been able to make a good album in like 7+ years or so and the way he's been moving recently screams "incel"

 

which is crazy cause he really seemed like kinda a decent guy, as much as someone of his caliber could be

I think one of things is his personality change, from the early days into a street ninja he portrays now.

He had a cute corny appeal to him but the Kendrick beef exposed him as just plain corny. He needed to stay in his Hip Pop lane (that he excelled in) and ignore the Kendrick diss. It's not like he had any type of street cred to defend. The cracks really started to show (for me) with the Pusha T beef. 

 

He's so successful he really shoulda just took the Beyoncé and Taylor approach and ignore the haters and let the success speak for itself.

The self awareness isn't there. He can't fathom the woman of his dreams Rihanna having babies with someone else

 

He's also way too overconfident in his rapping abilities - 2 big Ls against Kendrick and Pusha T. He needs to stay in his lane and give us fast food rap.

he's very much likable to millions of straight people who continue to stream his music, so...  i always thought his music was trash but his success and longevity are undeniable, he's still 10B streams above Taylor and even outstreamed Kendrick (who supposedly ended him) yesterday

 

he'll easily get the goodwill back with the right song, these little twitter controversies don't have as much of an impact as y'all think they do. everyone said Nicki Minaj was over after Big Foot and then PF2 was the best selling female rap album of the year and her tour became the biggest tour by a female rapper of all time.

going away for sometime and coming back with undeniably great music would help get him back on top. people are fickle

Where? His stats were overinflated to the high heavens because he was one of the first hit artists in the digital era. As time went on and streaming became prevalent, all of those records were broken again and everything that made him seem so massive was no longer nearly as impressive.

 

Now he's resorting to streaming farms and got caught with his Future collab. He only has one song in the top 100 for the decade globally and it's #81 and falling

It's a common part of black fashion culture. It's not just a little girl thing - black hair uses protective styles and it's common to add flair to that. It's just him trying to show he's a part of American hip hop culture.

PF2 was still a global bomb and a huge setback for Nicki. She literally couldn't afford to do an album photoshoot and her touring is in the toilet. Drake is better off, but still has to tour with other artists to sell out arenas. 
 

It makes no sense that he's supposedly the most successful male artist ever with the best charting stats, but he only has 1 solo tour over $100M. Only one of his tours has even grossed over $200M and he needed two other headliners.

But I think the unlikeable status came last year when Kendrick outted him

 

 

 

As soon as I finally accepted Drake and starting to like him too. Great timing that lasted a week
