I really hate this trend of extremely talented people (SZA, Doja, Chapell, etc.) who work so hard to be famous only to complain and lament about their careers once they get rich. Like… if you're not going to actually retire then just shut up until you're serious about it. Nobody likes someone that claims to not want anymore attention only to constantly beg for attention like this.

SZA? Working hard to be famous? Love her but CTRL becoming a modern classic over time and then Good Days —> Kill Bill —> SOS exploding off Tiktok is more so luck and not something she worked for. All her attempts at self-sabotage just failed  

 

I think she was fine in her lane of being the alt-R&B girl instead of accidentally becoming one of the biggest artists of this generation.

this was my first thought! LANA is a solid body of work and could stand on its own, so if she wanted to just pump out two albums to get out of her contract why release a deluxe?
