She can do anything she wants music wise, soccer moms won't check for her new stuff anyways. Her huge catalog of hits is enough to draw them to her shows and be successful. I think she just makes this type of music on auto-pilot at this point, cause she's not inspired anymore

Where were y'all when she released Trustfall (the song)? It the same vibe as Ariana's WCBF.

 

Then there's Secrets or Irrelevant that are definitely more "edgy", let alone various album tracks. She's just not considered "cool" anymore and young people aren't gonna check her releases regardless of how they sound
