Cryptique Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 ID better snatch number1.. streaming inflating numbers.. like 1-2k sales still charting.. sales are dead.. we been knew but just irritating to see 1k sells charting that high.
Cryptique Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 King Bruno still selling real good.. with good streaming numbers too..
UNNAMI Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 I was kinda mad that Views blocked a lot of albums, but hey, look at it's numbers of streaming. It's not like one song (One Dance) has 1 000 000 000 streams and the other songs have 1 000 streams. No no. All songs have huge streaming. The same with Ed's album, Kendrick's album. It's not like one song is driving it's numbers. That was the case for The Chainsmokers - one or two acts. the rest acts have huge numbers for whole album.

alexanderao Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 4 hours ago, CandleGuy said: But the new chart IS disadvantageous to Blake. People who buy albums get counted once, at the time of purchase. They can play that album to death and Billboard does not care. People who stream get counted every time they stream the songs, from the first time to the 1000000th time. That's why albums like Views that are stream heavy have so much 'longevity' compared to sales heavy albums. But nothing changed in the way sales are counted. That's the exact same way they were counted before. Blake's numbers on the new chart are approximately what his numbers would be on the old chart (though your comment does a nice job illustrating why I'm hoping that everybody can transition to streaming as soon as possible– because it's simply a more accurate way of tracking consumption than sales). Regarding the part of your post I bolded– they get counted, but for 1/1500th of a sale. It's not like every time I stream Passionfruit, that counts as a sale for More Life.
moonlitdick Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 why is Khaled doing so little I thought for sure he'd be dong Drake numbers or around those since he's coming off ITM, WT is smashing + he has 99+ features including THE Beyoncé
alexanderao Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 CHART BATTLE GOES INTO EXTRA INNINGS Quote We won't be declaring a winner today in the ferocious chart battle between Imagine Dragons and DJ Khaled, which remains too close to call (while the impending holiday affects the flow of data). As things stand, both records are holding in the mid-130k range. We'll be holding our chart as the contest continues over the holiday weekend, with possible challenges from both sides. Here's how it looks at this point in the game: 1. *Imagine Dragons (KidinaKorner/Interscope) 130-140k SPS, 103-108k 1. *DJ Khaled (We The Best/Epic) 130-140k, 45-50k 3. Kendrick Lamar (TDE/Interscope) 56-61k, 11-13k 4. 2 Chainz (Def Jam) 42-47k, 7-9k 5. *Prince (Warner Bros.) 36-40k, 33-37k 6. *311 (BMG) 35-39k, 33-37k 7. Drake (YMCMB/Republic) 34-38k, 1-2k 8. *Radiohead (XL) 33-37k, 31-34k 9. Ed Sheeran (Asylum) 33-37k, 10-12k 10. Post Malone (Republic) 30-34k, 1-2k 11. *Vince Staples (Def Jam) 31-35k, 15-17k 12. Lorde (Lava/Republic) 28-31k, 11-13k 13. Bruno Mars (Atlantic) 28-31k, 10-12k 14. SZA (TDE/RCA) 27-30k, 6-8k 15. Moana (Walt Disney) 23-26k, 12-14k 16. Migos (Quality Control) 22-25k, 1-2k 17. Khalid (Right Hand Music/RCA) 21-24k, 2-4k 18. Trolls (RCA) 20-23k, 9-11k 19. Future (Freebandz/Epic) 18-20k, 1-2k 20. The Weeknd (XO/Republic) 17-19k, 1-2k
Starkboy Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 Wow so close. Hoping for ID tbh The pure sales for everyone btw 7. Drake (YMCMB/Republic) 34-38k, 1-2k
