It makes sense. All labels care about is artists who can promote without the label spending money. Jojo came in with years of being a kids' celebrity and brand, with a big social media following already. So, I'm not surprised she could get signed by a major

What I am surprised about is that the major she signed with tried to launch her with a slightly reworked 2009 Miley reject. That song sound like something a YouTuber with 400k subs would release as their first single.

What's more shocking is that she tried to start her career with Miley Cyrus demos from 10 years ago.

I feel like I'm the only one sad about this. She had bops and gave high energy pop and choreo. So what if she was cringe

If she still wants to perform and release music, she'll be fine. Even signed to a label, she did not get much support or reach with them. There was a lot of arguing over creative decisions. She markets fine alone, and pays out of pocket for what she wants. Not being attached to an official label won't keep her from creating. You can enjoy the art as long as you don't care about how successful it is. :heart2:
