How's this such a common occurrence in the states with essentially nothing being done to fix it?

Ignorance, all of you acting like terrorist attacks only occur in the US or something. As if Germany didn't just have the same kind of attack minus the assault rifle.

Terrorist literally drove a car through a Christams market mowing down and killing multiple people, but since it's your precious Europe I guess yall pretend that didn't happen. As if knife attacks don't occur all the time there, and cars to run over people as also happened in Nice, France many years back.

Terrorism is a problem all over. When guns arent available, they just find other weapons. Like knives and cars in place of guns. Stop playing stupid and ignorant.

This is sick all around, and it's devastating we have to deal with it around the world.

The fact that their first response to such a horrific tragedy is to use the opportunity to **** on the country it happened in is really disgusting. :biblio: As if there's no violence or cultural decay in their own countries

That's what the US do all the time with other countries. They love to criticize other countries safety and issues when they have worse issues inside their own country.

Folks have become so desensitised to news of these attacks that this thread is barely a blip on the radar. Horrid

They want the terrorists to be immigrants SO badly just so they can make sweeping claims about people who had nothing to do with it :deadbanana4:

I'm not sure why the comments are treating this like just another shooting when seemingly all of the casualties came from the truck driving through the crowd, and the shootout with the police was very brief and came after? This was a tragic event and I firmly support drastic gun policy reform, but that wouldn't have saved many (any?) lives last night? This was a pedestrian safety failure, if anything.

Given that it happened so late in the night (past 3:30am), I've seen some speculation that the police had begun to clean up and remove the temporary bollards and other safety devices, and that was how the driver was able to get onto the street, but that's speculative.

People have become too desensitised to repeated violence to such an extent that they find humor in it now.

Normally can't stand this stuff but at a certain point when there's too many coincidences you feel a certain way.

The last time I felt this way was the whistleblower suicides at Boeing and ChatGPT.

I can't believe they're still going through with the Sugar Bowl football game today. It needed to be canceled.
