I'm barely a Katy stan lol. Katy has an upcoming tour which is selling well. Can't say the same about the fad from 2010 who can't even tour

You're actually right about the VMAs since Kesha doesn't have a payola label machine behind her that buys her awards to salvage panned eras.

 

Kesha literally had acclaimed sets/performances at Coachella and Lollapalooza in 2024, for example. Are you living under a rock?

Well katy is a major act, backed with a multimillion record deal and massive promo world wide and yet those are her stats in 2024.. Kesha is an independent artist with NO promo backing her... so I wouldn't call that a flop at all x

So no, there's not fair comparison. Katy's panned era is Katy's flop and Kesha's success is Kesha's success.
