isn't stray kids literally just a cheap talentless garbage copy of NCT too?

NCT has been the blueprint since forever

What kind of ass take is this?? :ahh: Both groups don't even have the same sound?

There's a reason why the world chose SKZ as their favorite "noise bg", despite SM trying everything to make NCT happen :ahh:

SM has been sidelining their entire roster for years to push NCT and gave them all their resources, yet they still aren't even the biggest boy group in their own company :celestial5:

Spoiler

EXO ended NCT btw

04cf157b03d55711d1eb573919e82f3bae7cd075

Anyway:

SKZ Spotify streams in 2024 alone = 3B

NCT DREAM's total Spotify streams since debut = 2.9B :skull:

The fact that SKZ had more streams in 2024 alone than your faves, NCT DREAM, have had in their entire career so far says it all :deadbanana:

And I'm not even going to bring up NCT 127, because those numbers are even more tragic :deadbanana4:

SKZ outsold, outstreamed, outgrossed, out everything

What's up with KickFlip literally almost being the same group as NEXZ? Like what was JYPE thinking debuting two 7-membered bgs within a year with almost the same concept:skull:

And people are also right about KickFlip's pre-debut song sounding similar to TWS' pre-debut

KickFlip, NEXZ, RIIZE, BOYNEXTDOOR, TWS and all these other 5th gen bgs with like 6-7 members really overlap with each other, both in terms of sound and concept wise.

The impact NewJeans has on all of these 5th gen bgs is insane

I like some of their songs and dislike most as I have functioning ears and good taste. Wishing the same for you in 2025.

Spoiler

Tbh I actually think SKZ could be great if they reduce their output significantly. Like Gidle, I like that they produce / write their own music, but exactly like Gidle, they falter when they release too frequently. My guess is JYP has nothing else in his arsenal - I had COMPLETELY forgotten about Nexz until your post - and is over-reliant on these men who need to SLEEP.

You literally claimed that aespa were doing better than SKZ every year, hence why I posted the streaming numbers of each group every year, with aespa never having more streams.

I specifically stated that you could remove the first 2 years of SKZ's career, and it wouldn't change their overall numbers.

No matter how much you try to spin and downplay it, SKZ having more streams in 1 music platform alone than aespa has on every music platform in the world combined shows that they are not on the same level. And if we combine every music platform with SKZ as well, it wouldn't be fair for aespa.

Whether aespa will surpass 4B before SKZ did or not, won't really matter in the end, since SKZ will still continue to out stream aespa every year going forward. This is why you're so focused on what SKZ did in their first few years, since you know aespa will never be able outstream SKZ, like ever :fan:

SKZ debuted before the pandemic, which was when Kpop stans was still using YouTube mostly, and it wasn't really until post the pandemic that Kpop stans started to move towards Spotify, which gives groups that debuted around that time and advantage to achieve some overall streaming numbers "faster" or whatever, but that doesn't mean that they will eventually catch up to those groups in the end. It's all about longevity at the end of the day. You're too focused on short term streaming milestones, and who did it what "faster", when you completely dismiss the idea of longevity and the idea of a group having a slower and steady growth.

ENHYPEN who literally debuted 2 weeks after aespa managed to surpass 4B streams faster than aespa, which shows that your argument about which group did what milestone the fastest don't really mean anything. Cause aespa are now starting to do better than ENHYPEN on Spotify 4 years later, but according to your logic, ENHYPEN would've continued to do better than aespa, since they achieved some milestones "faster" or whatever.

As stated before, It's all about longevity at the end of the day, and aespa might maybe surpass ENHYPEN in the future now. for example This is why your entire argument falls flat.

Anyways SKZ just recently became the 3rd most streamed Kpop act of all time being only behind BTS and BP :santa:

Good luck to aespa and let's hope their streams will surpass their 4th gen peers first such as ENHYPEN, TXT, LE SSERAFIM etc. :celestial5:

Anyways this will also be my last response to this whole debate, since it has been DAYS. Don't worry, I will also make sure to tag and remind you about SKZ's achievements in the future ,and remind you why they are the biggest 4th gen group :fan:

Girl, keep it all in spoilers.

Aespa do have better streams per year. You're now conflating years with calendar years so you can give Stray Kids even more of an advantage. You're comparing Days 1-357 of SKZ to Days 1-42 of Aespa. Then Days 358-722 of SKZ to Days 43-407 of Aespa. Obviously manipulated data sets like that will give SKZ a massive advantage.

What I said was that Aespa's first year (a year is 365 days) outstreamed Stray Kids's first year. And it factually did. Aespa's second year outstreamed SKZ's second year. Aespa's third year outstreamed SKZ's. Aespa's fourth year just outstreamed SKZ's fourth. And now Aespa are in their fifth year and they're still outpacing SKZ's.

You can remove the first two calendar years of almost any K-pop group and it doesn't make a huge effect on their overall numbers. Aespa's first two calendar years don't even add up to 10% of their career streams. Why would that give SKZ an advantage? Even if we start comparing both groups from day 730 on, Aespa is still miles ahead :skull:

I just showed you that there's no possible way for SKZ to have more streams on Spotify than Aespa have on every platform. Aespa are at 3.49B YouTube, 3.435B Spotify, 1.3B+ Melon, 500M+ Genie, etc. You think their streams on Apple Music, VIBE, Line, Amazon Music and all of the Chinese platforms are somehow less than 2B? :skull:

Aespa have shown nothing but consistent growth on streaming. They're not going to crater like ITZY or any of the HYBE groups when the payola stops. Good luck to SKZ, but Aespa are already outdoing them on Melon, Genie, Apple Music, etc. and they're outpacing them on Spotify.

Oh, not another "Dreams Come True" for Aespa :duca: Willing to bet that SMNGG will cover "Into the New World" since SM is mediaplaying them as the next SNSD.

Speaking of covering MILK songs (Into the New World was planned for MILK before SNSD landed it) Irene and Nayeon did such an amazing "Come to Me" and I would love to see Red Velvet take it.

For the love of God, don't give Aespa a boy group song unless it's Mirotic or The War.
