Hot Volcano Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 All my plans fell through and I was sick of everyone constantly disagreesing and coming up with new ideas so I said **** it, I'm out. And now I'm with my parents for NYE. And honestly not sure what to think. On one hand I'm glad to be with them cuz who knows when is the next time we'll get to spend the NYE together since they are pretty old and my dad is quite sick. But on the other hand I kinda wish I followed through with any plan my friends eventually came up with since it's a bit boring to stay at home. And then who the **** gives a ****, it's just a regular day.............except it isnt Do you guys have any plans?
tost1 Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 I'm visiting home and decided to stay home with my fam. It's not gonna be the biggest fun ever for sure but whatever, I'm so sick of partying during this period.
tost1 Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 It's a random Tuesday btw, it's just the fomo working hard.
Princess Aurora Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 That makes the two of us. Everybody's sick
KillingYourCareer Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Sushi dinner with my friends and then we'll see if we should go clubbing or what. I managed to catch a fever (I blame last night's hookup) so I might as well go home after midnight. 1
livelikemusic Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 I usually stay home as it is; I'd rather be home, showered and dressed in clean jammies to start the New Year off right. 1
Mr. Peanutbutter Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 I'm staying with my family and relatives. Won't be the greatest time of my life but I can't complain about something that includes free food. Also I've spent a New Years at a literal funeral so I'll take anything other than that
T.O.A.D.S. Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 You didn't spend New Year's as a child/teenager with your parents?
NumbSoul Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 I'm gonna be spending it with a friend in the end, but I was gonna be spending it completely on my own this year and I was actually really into the idea. There's something really cool and symbolic about entering the new year on your own. I think even if you take the idea of NYE seriously (which you don't need to, it's a day like any other), I think there's ways to enjoy it and make it special, regardless of whether you're going out or not.
Hollywood. Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Am currently sick so will be spending it in bed. My parents don't live in the same city and it's impossible to get time off at this time of year so won't see them until February.
Thickorita Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Eventually you grow out of the FOMO as you're older and more mature. It's cute if it's intentional with friends/loved ones, but doing it just for the sake of it is kinda irrelevant.
stars Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 I was having a depressive episode so I drove to my parents house to spend time with them and our dog
ryoncé Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 most people stay in these days only the most desperate of gays who need to be constantly on the go to distract themselves from their self loathing go out now
Colmillo Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 I've always spend NYE with my family, and at this point it would feel weird not to, so idk.

It's too depressing plus I live in a country town and we got **** all

OP: I'm staying in and drinking with my housemate. I went out last year, which was fun, but it's been an exhausting end of the year and I just want to relax.
