Cruz Beckham, 19, has entered into a debate over his "nepo baby" status following backlash against his latest musical project.

He recently released a teaser for his latest song 'For Ya Love', which he posted to IG on Christmas Day.
The musical teaser was met with criticism from commenters accusing Cruz of using nepotism to advance his fledgling music career.

One commenter. "Bet he had mega money and training." Cruz immediately shot down the commenter, replying: "Not at all. Just a guitar."

The criticism continued, so Cruz hit back with the line: "Jesus was also a nepo baby." Less than 12 hours later, he deleted his comment.

Cruz is already signed to a prominent management firm, C3.

I think coming up through social media is the problem, at least with acting you become famous because of a role first or with music you gradually is introduced
