HASHTAGPOW Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 He can Trump all those debate invites and might have a chance to win
Achilles. Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 He'd have won the Republicans like 5 more Senate seats and countless congressional seats.
Green Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Nurse! Trump's gap would have been even bigger with Biden 1
Illuminati Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 One of the biggest driving forces behind Kamala Harris campaign was the fact that people REALLY didn't want it to be Joe Biden
Communion Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 (edited) Others have said it already but as a New Jerseyan, please understand the state would have flipped red with him still on the ticket. The hate for him was so palpable here. "But that doesn't make sense, we all know Harris lost mainly due to misogynoir!!". Please don't do this. So many non-white neighborhoods largely flipped from blue to red out of the sheer reality of people simply staying home cause both options sucked. Edited December 29, 2024 by Communion 4
byzantium Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 With Biden, it was an open question whether democrats would win New York and Illinois. Biden needs to be escorted to the retirement community asap. 1 1
The7thStranger Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 The way I lose respect for this man daily. 1
JustHoran Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 (edited) No they would have lost worse Biden was HATED Kamala would have been a way better President it's unfortunate he didn't drop out earlier and this country is sexist and racist AF Edited December 29, 2024 by JustHoran

His two advisors that showed him the internal polling that prompted Jill to change her mind and finally convince him otherwise need to come forward on the record to contradict this, again, to move on from this era for good. We can't wait until he dies. That doesn't contradict anything. His polling was worse than it would have been if the party's leaders (Pelosi, Schumer, Obama, and Jeffries - and don't forget George Clooney), weren't going around telling every news outlet and tabloid that he was senile and incompetent. Of course, he is senile and incompetent. But that was already the case in 2020 and he managed to win that time.

Delusional POS He was already senile and incompetent in 2020, yet his advisors he managed to win that election.

Given how polling for Kamala-Trump was largely accurate this cycle, that means the polls that showed Biden was barreling towards a historic loss were also likely accurate. Sure, they were accurate at that time. After he had been torpedoed by the leaders in the party, no less. Trump was polling at like 30 something percent a year ago. That's the purpose of the campaign. You can't say he would have lost based on poll numbers from April or May.

He was so visibly incapacitated after one meeting that he stopped meeting again with Congressional Democrats.

The man literally could not speak. The most substantial thing he did after stepping down was start a whole news cycle after accidentally calling Trump supporters garbage.

loveisdead9582 Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Go to bed grandpa. Trump and Biden alone are perfect examples of why there needs to be an age limit on running for president/political office. Historically the incumbent has a better chance of winning the election but as we saw in 2020 anything can happen. Given all the negative press he had and the visible cognitive issues I genuinely don't think he would have won. 1

Wasp Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 It's America... any white man would have done better than kamala

Give me a ******* break. Dems likely never stood a chance in this election (they were warned about nominating someone like Biden in 20 and didn't listen), but swapping out the nominee probably saved us from total collapse. It's actually 53 Senate seats and they have the tiniest majority since the 1930s. (220-215) 1 1

Nobody seems willing to admit that, but embarrassing slogans like "Kamala is brat" should have been the first hint that she was cooked and never going anywhere on Day One of her campaign. It's still better than if we had had Biden still at the top of the ticket, but now we have to suffer through his delusional claims that he would have won had he stuck with it from now on until he croaks.
808dream Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Should have done it earlier, a 2 months campaign was doomed to begin with... 1
