Gesamtkunstwerk Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago After #MeToo, Diddy and everything in the Entertainment industry getting exposed as being highly exploitative and abusive, the Bad Romance video straight up depicts things allegedly taking place in the business. She is forcefully stripped of her clothing, she is being forced to drink a drink (similar to the millions of drugging stories we've heard), right after she is being auctioned off in a room full of business men (Human trafficking, treating artists/people like assets that can be bought and sold), she is then made to sleep with the highest bidder. The twist being instead of being a victim, she has killed the business man, making him the victim instead. Incredibly ahead of it's time if so, considering her whole TFM theme was about the dark side of fame Aged like wine. Or was this painfully obvious to everybody else, and I'm just slow ? Idk, I just see the video a little different now looking back at it. Please no crazy Bohemian Illuminati demon blood orgy conspiracies thank you

Sheep Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago I thought it was about generational trauma and how her dad's loss of his sister 40 years ago is a massive weight on her because of a breakup or whatever. 4

BrokenMachine Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago So you're telling me that's what she meant by 'The Fame Monster'?? I always thought it was like a very famous monster or something like that
alexrex Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Sadly it was partly inspired by her own experience with abuse. Iconic nonetheless

I didn't know Bad Romance was on Joanne, is this the first time in history a lead single has been released 7 years before the album? That's fierce 4
