Theres a whole other element to it: Rih is generally seen as very likeable, thus people WANT her to do well, thus she receives support even tho, as you pointed out, shes not able to deliver a spectacle like Bey.

With Bey, theres a lot of envy going on. Bey is clearly the most polarizing popstar out there these days (it used to be Gaga in the beginning of the 2010s, but it has shifted now). Many want to see her fail, thus even go as far as diminishing her talent and downplaying it.

I think that the Rih love is a very recent development and began way after she'd finished releasing albums. It began in 2017 after Fenty Beauty was released, that's when people found her "likeable". Before that she was a "weed smoking ****" that people used to make fun of. People (Seth MacFarlane) were cracking jokes about her abuse at the Oscar awards, she was being called out of her name and multiply disrespected at the BET awards, these were just live and televised major platforms. Let alone the skits, tweets, articles, etc that were being made about her. Everyone from Megan Thee Stallion to JT to Trevor Noah to SZA etc has old tweets where they were talking **** about her. Hell even when Anti dropped and the 460 debacle happened Rih was getting DRAGGED by critics and audiences alike, I'm not exaggerating when I say Bey hasn't seen half the hate Rih did (even though it's not a competition). Bey on the other hand during that period was very beloved, and it's only recently that some sections of the internet are unfair to her, but even then that is only internet talk and critics adore her, and no one would make fun of her abuse let along think about doing that at the Oscars. I generally think these things are cyclical and at some point Bey will become more beloved than she's ever been before, and the dumb arguments diminishing her success and talent will end. Even with Rih people have been dragging her for days now for her karaoke singing recently, people dragged her for her Indian wedding terrible performance, people dragged her for her SB performance. It's not always love, but Rih is personable in a way to them which makes them like her (and not adore her the way they would Bey) while Bey is either adored wholly or disliked now, but I genuinely believe the dislike will end since it's rooted in nothing solid.

I don't know in which part of the world you are living, but I can't recall any other star being threatened to be murdered like Bey was after she dropped Formation (police departments stated they wouldn't grant her security and construction workers threatened to purposefully misconstruct the stage so that she can be smashed by tons of steel) or being considered a murderer/child trafficker/criminal for instances that have nothing to do with her -> P Diddy Case, Aaliyah death, #thankyoubeyonce.

The level of online abuse and vitriol Beyonce is experiencing is on a whole different level than anybody else.

You are right in that it's not a competition, but Bey is experiencing a different type of level of vitriol. It's a miracle she's as robust and strong (mentally speaking) as she is. 99,9% of people in her position would just call it a day.

the show was OUTSTANDING but let's be honest, unless you are in the beehive, the geepee (me included) only knew the words to Texas Hold 'Em. Beyoncé must be about arts not charts because surely with her voice, legacy and talent, she could quite easily secure a feature with none other than Bruno the hit maker

Making this part THICK so everyone can see :bibliahh:
