qurl Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago he's a very talented director but a lot of that movie rests on David Bowie, cool practical effects/puppetry, and the nostalgia and whimsy for those that grew up with it … so idk how this one's gonna fare

Dante Silva Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago What a totally random Gen X Movie to bring back. I always wondered where Jennifer Connelly disappeared to before reappearing decades later looking much the same. Back then they used physical sets with some green screen and it looked pretty three dimensional. Nowadays they would rely on digital which doesn't have the same realistic feels. I don't remember any of the sequels. If they plunder this then that can only mean "NeverEnding Story" is up next.
Uncatena Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago i mean, i trust him but this brings the "Eggers announces his next project and I get immediately hyped" train to a screeching halt.
Digitalism Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago If you read his last interviews he has 7 scripts already done and he doesn't know if any of them are being greenlit. He is just smarter than other directors having a lot of projects planned to keep on working. So I don't think this is comming first.
