he won but the other half of the country still hates him, be fr

His approval will go down after a while but then go back up and even higher if things do indeed improve under his tenure. Overall he will have higher approvals than Biden.

This is way better in comparison to the historic lows he had early in his first term. It just shows how far his comeback has come.

i know, i was reacting to that user who said he has 'amazing favorability', which is not true. this is an improvement for him for sure, but i doubt it will last. 

 

that said, i don't think this is just a trump problem, there has been a decline of trust in public institutions for decades and politicians have a really bad rep on all sides

He was always going to be iconic, just for the wrong reasons. He's one of the most polarizing figures, has flipped the political climate on its head but governs the same Republican policies to hurt working class people.
