GraceRandolph Posted yesterday at 12:35 AM Posted yesterday at 12:35 AM King Charles has stripped chocolate giant Cadbury of its Royal Warrant, and it's thought his new health-conscious diet could have spurred the decision. The confectionery brand based in Bourneville, Birmingham, is among 100 companies to lose out on official endorsement from the royal family in a newly-updated list. Also missing out is consumer goods multinational Unilever, whose products include popular food brands Marmite, Magnum ice cream bars and Pot Noodle. Yet operations favoured by Charles's wife Queen Camilla remain among the latest beneficiaries of the royal household's stamp of approval. https://www.lbc.co.uk/news/king-charles-strips-uk-brands-of-royal-warrant-including-cadbury-and-marmite/ 1
Burn Posted yesterday at 12:56 AM Posted yesterday at 12:56 AM I don't think it will affect the stripped brands in any meaningful way tbh. It's just something fancy brands can brag about having but the average person in the UK doesn't have a clue which brands do or don't have a Royal Warrant so they'll continue consuming these brands like they did before. 7
Aston Martin Posted yesterday at 01:06 AM Posted yesterday at 01:06 AM I don't live in the UK but I feel like King Charles is not a particularly beloved individual and thus this won't really mean much. 5 1
shoganai Posted yesterday at 01:36 AM Posted yesterday at 01:36 AM Having still to these days individuals living off people's taxes only because of traditions and some sort of 'divinity' is absurd and anachronistic lol 4 1
Fancyhoodlum Posted yesterday at 01:44 AM Posted yesterday at 01:44 AM love it. now strip him out of his title 2
Zeferino Posted yesterday at 02:48 AM Posted yesterday at 02:48 AM Hmmm I'm gonna still buy Cadbury tho 1
smartalek22 Posted yesterday at 02:57 AM Posted yesterday at 02:57 AM Great way to make enemies of the crown and gain nothing
Into The Void Posted yesterday at 05:13 AM Posted yesterday at 05:13 AM Why would anyone want the royal endorsement.
Park Jinyoung Posted yesterday at 06:25 AM Posted yesterday at 06:25 AM How will Unilever survive now they were really counting on that 1
getBusy Posted yesterday at 06:59 AM Posted yesterday at 06:59 AM Kim, there's people that are dying 1
no_better Posted yesterday at 09:46 AM Posted yesterday at 09:46 AM Cadbury needs some more vegan options
SapphireSky Posted yesterday at 09:53 AM Posted yesterday at 09:53 AM No one cares about what that man is doing
Dante Silva Posted yesterday at 09:59 AM Posted yesterday at 09:59 AM Cadbury was taken over by and has been owned by a foreign U.S. company for many years now so it makes sense. However, if the current owner dares change the traditional Cadbury chocolate recipe and changes it to that horrific American one, the ordinary people will revolt (not just royalty).
glitch Posted yesterday at 10:03 AM Posted yesterday at 10:03 AM Cadburys has been disgusting for years so it's deserved. And Unilever turned me down for a grad scheme a few years back, glitchvoodoo 1 1
SlowGinFizzzz Posted yesterday at 11:11 AM Posted yesterday at 11:11 AM Hate Unilever, so this is a rare W for Charles.

They already did, it's made with palm oil now and it's gross. 1
Dolce Vita Posted yesterday at 04:36 PM Posted yesterday at 04:36 PM american cadbury is nasty so i'm sure it's even worse over there
BOOMBAYAH Posted yesterday at 06:39 PM Posted yesterday at 06:39 PM The Royal Family is so funny to me because they subtly present themselves as progressives but are inherently a conservative and right-wing institution. For example, you'll have William talking about gay rights and homelessness, yet his family has done nothing for gay rights and owns around 500 empty properties across the country, which are funded by and maintained with taxpayer money.
