Yall are that predictable Have you read that New York Times piece? The agency Baldoni used pulled all the stops in trying to bury her, and they said as much in the unveiled texts. That Flaa interview — which was already like 10 years old at the time she posted it — was IMPECCABLY well-timed to receive maximal attention. This is hardly a reach. 2

Really one of the worst scenario in the industry lately, sadly. Please re-read what you wrote because it sounds like an Onion headline making fun of misogynistic false equivalences 6 1

"She's using PR as well so she's equally in the wrong!!!" This is lowkey serving victim blaming 101 If I remember correctly when the thread was first posted it was just the TMZ newsalert and mostly focused on Blake suing over defamation. Given what everyone thought they knew about the situation (that is, before it came out that so much of the tide of public opinion against her was completely artificial), I don't think it would have been such a reach to think that this was just sour grapes on Blake's end for having been made out to be the Internet's biggest villain for like three or four days during her own movie's promotional cycle. The more salacious details about the case only started to trickle out in the subsequent hours. 1

AshleyLovescats887 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Absolutely disgusting. Blake Lively might not be the kindest person, but nobody deserves be treated like this. The sexual harassment, the smear campaign..genuinely it's so scary how easy it is to get everyone to hate a woman. I thought we already grew up from this after 2016, but I guess not.
Popular Post Cleanromantic Posted 9 hours ago Popular Post Posted 9 hours ago Atrlers are misogynistic by nature and I don't expect them to ever grow from it, but the most damning thing about the lawsuit is the fact that Justin admitted to having sex with multiple women without their consent and sexually assaulted an actress and a producer on this movie. If any one of these victims speaks out, it's over for him for good. 19

Put Justin behind bars or end his career if he deserves it, it's not gonna make us like her personally or support her career. The New York Times article makes note of the fact that the lighthearted, arguably vapid tone Blake adopted in the interviews was the studio's idea: Quote The official promotion plan instructed the cast to focus more on the uplifting aspects of the movie than on abuse, and to embrace a floral theme (her character has a flower shop). In several appearances, she never made reference to domestic violence at all. And she faced criticism when her Betty Booze beverage company was promoting the film, given the role alcohol can play in abusive relationships. Seeing that blowback, the text messages show, Mr. Baldoni and his P.R. team decided instead to highlight survivors of domestic violence in his interviews and social media. There's totally valid reasons not to like her but imo nothing directly related to this film or its promotional campaign warranted any of the blowback she received.

Nobody asked you to like her or support her career. I don't really like or care about her either, but I don't see what relevance that has here. Just have some basic human decency and don't be disgustingly misogynistic and make fun of a woman when she is accusing a man of sexual harassment. Bringing up the fact that you find her annoying to discount what she went through is gross. Seems like that's too much to ask, sadly. Men will never have empathy for women they don't like. I haven't "discounted" anything. I've said it clearly, he needs to face the consequences of whatever he did. BUT the damage her career had comes from no smear campaign but from her own attitude and responses in interviews and red carpets, which has nothing to do with the sexual harassment. I don't know what is it with swifties defending her as if this was Taylor herself. 3
Maroonx Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago some of the replies in this topic compare to "oh she got raped coz she was dressed like a hoe" kinda response to victim of date rape. you guys need to grow up and face facts before pitching in your opinions about people's accusation of sexual assault. absolutely disgusting x

By the Water Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Beyoncé fans thinking "well, I still don't like her" is a normal reaction to sexual harassment allegations is quite hilarious considering how much they like to police people on feminism 2

Are there no legal advisors in that firm? Not her entire defense for the messages is that they were joking . And that she was just "doing her job". Holy ****, not even a basic denial like "those messages were not real/fabricated". It really stays in line with how Justin Baldoni and Jamey Heath committed their sexual misconducts on set thou. They always "joked" about their sex lives details to the cast, "joked" about showing their wives' naked body on video to the cast, showing *****graphy to other cast and crew, even when they were asked to stop. Blake even had to go all the way to Sony to submit a HR report (Justin's studio was the one in charge of producing the movie, so all HR complaints would go to him () and Jamey). And she was not the only one either. The fact that there was a Covid outbreak on set, and they even hid it from Blake (since they don't have Covid insurance for it ), which cause her AND her infant child to be exposed to Covid. And when she confronted them about it, they played it down and still joked around. W-T-F... At this point, whoever still side with him just shows that they can't read. Seriously. You have got to be Trumpist cultist level of blind to not see how damming it is for Baldoni's side. Edited 2 hours ago by Rep2000 3

Tho others have it as "all women (except my fave)"...

Peak Now Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago 1 hour ago, Draper. said: If you look at the lawsuit she's not actually suing them just for the smear campaign per se, because as you have implied you can't really sue someone for opinions or truths (thought given that it was allegedly a smear campaign I wouldn't be surprised if they were being... economical with the truth). The lawsuit is about said smear campaign being a form of retaliation for Ms. Lively filing a complaint against Mr. Baldoni for misconduct, with the purpose of undermining her reputation so that even if she were to go public with her accusations people wouldn't sympathize with her... 2
SinnerCity Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I just spent one hour reading documents and threads about this whole thing and although I've formed an opinion about Blake a long time ago this was so ****** up and such abuse should not be tolerated. I hope justice is served.
Rep2000 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago 3 minutes ago, Saintlor said: Why wasn't she saying this during the Blake hate bandwagon? Because she's not a good source of judgement (to the internet) anyway. I would be more focused on the entire cast and crew, since Blake was not the only one who submitted a complaint of misconduct about Justin during filming.
GAGAxMONSTER Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I always felt the hate campaign against Blake seemed forced like people just needed a target after JLo and Katy. Now, we know why. The good thing is the hate train never reached full speed unlike with the other two. #Justice4MsLively
