Well, the original lawsuit from Blake that opened the floodgate was not officially a lawsuit. It was filed to CA Civil Right's Dept to obtain the notice of being allowed to sue. She technically hadn't sued him yet, and was just prepping for one in CA.

 

However, she just bypassed all that and went with federal court in NY instead today. Oh this is just getting even bigger.

Yeah his lawsuit to NYT is very weak comparing to Blake's very documented and receipt-based legal complaint, or even to his former PR manager's one.

The fact that they try to argue the emoji 🙃 means they were just "sarcastic" when they were dicussing how to destroy Blake's reputation, I- 

 

It's a SLAPP lawsuit (see: Gawker bankruptcy) from Baldoni to fight back with a big money tag. But it's most likely be thrown out of court just because it has no legs.

In order for him to win, he has to prove a) NYT knowingly published fake information AND b) NYT does that specifically with malice (which is impossible to prove, since NYT is reporting excerpts from a legal lawsuit, which is completely legit). He and his billionaire are trying to muddy the waters, since clearly they are caught bare footed with Blake's legal complaint.

Blake already losing her 5 seconds of goodwill with the new lawsuit on TikTok. Saw a lawyer post about Baldoni's suit and said they had a lot of evidence in their suit that Blake very intentionally mislead with a lot of her receipts and claims and posted texts without full context (which court wouldn't allow, they'd force the entire chain to be submitted).

 

Saw a crisis PR manager saying Blake is just doing the exact same thing Baldoni did (smear campaign) and is no better and people shouldn't take sides. Most comments agreed everyone in this situation seems like a **** person and I'm in that boat.
