Feel sorry for the guy. Hope SZA realizes that this is not cute. WTF :biblio:

She's a terrible person. This is horrendous.

SZA did the same when she released Good Days on Christmas Day. Major last minute rush, no organisation. People who worked at DSPs were majorly pissed off because they had work over what was meant to be their winter holidays, and her label had to deal with the fallout from that.

Honestly she deserves a nasty meeting with her labelheads dragging her for filth and telling her to get your **** together

True but king is getting six figure salary for this 👑

Most audio engineers don't make 6 figures unless they are a huge name in mixing engineer with many credits like ms largo with timbo and danja or a mixing engineer like Dave pescando. Most make minimum wage. Especially if they are just a session engineer.

The rich should not be defended!

That's somewhat normal in the final stages of album production, especially when everyone is excited about the project.

The mixing sounds like **** tho so I don't hear the effort.

You must not work in corporate… if there's a deadline, you gotta meet it, under fear of being fired, or getting blamed, or getting a reputation in the industry — and trust me, being the reason that SZA's album doesn't come out on the date it's supposed to would definitely give you a scarlet letter that would follow you around.

For all we know, he stayed up late that because he felt pressured to, and there was no "going to sleep if he needed to." And you do make a good point that this isn't an uncommon practice and that SZA/her team are far from the only management that forces these abusive and unrealistic expectations on employees/contractors — but SZA calling it out publicly gives people an

opportunity to rightfully criticize and get angry about it, in hopes of raising awareness and change,

…….why does that bother you, exactly?

On top of that these people usually work as freelancers which means he is risking of getting blacklisted if he isn't meeting the deadline…

This industry is absolutely crazy…
