Fuuucking hell. Wasn't there a similar attack a few years back? Gosh.

Berlin, 8 years and one day ago. There was a memorial event for this just yesterday.

Yeah, it was in Berlin back in 2016. My friend lived around the corner where it happened and I was taking a shortcut through that market an hour before a truck raced though it. It felt like a delayed Final Destination sequence :biblio:

I read that the Saudi man has been living in Germany since 2006 and working in a hospital as a doctor, and never had any problems with the law or pose any threats to security or seen as an extremist. I wonder wtf happened.

Religion happened

This is absolutely horrific. Germany needs stricter police so things like this don't happen again

Yeah sure go ahead and blame a millions of followers of Islam because of a thing done by one man who happens to be a Muslim.

There many Muslims who live in Europe, who lead good lives and have jobs, families and live normally. None of them deserve to be called out for being a Muslim because of this.

An absolute nightmare, just awful. I will never be able to comprehend how anyone could have this kind of hatred within themselves.

RIP to the victims. I feel so sorry for the families who lost a loved one because of this așshole, especially right before Christmas. It's just not fair.

A friend of mine left the market 20min before the attack happened to go to another one nearby. I'm still in shock.

Wow I'm glad. You'll never know when it'll be your last. RIP to the lost souls

To be fair that user didn't blame each of these people. They just stated that the motivation behind these terrorists attacks in Europe is religion in some form. And historically that's correct.

But to say religion is the motivation IS basically saying that anyone who follows that religion has some sort of motivation to do the same, which is absolutely a horrific thing to say.

RIP to the victims, this is actually terrifying.

Literally do not understand how anyone in Europe feels safe, y'all have these kinds of occurrences like twice a year at this point. I know Euros love to dog on Americans for school shootings but it's much easier to wrap one's mind around the idea of a troubled student looking to enact revenge on their classmates over going to a Christmas market with your family and randomly witnessing 70 people get plowed by a car.

They also protect all the free Iran, free Kurdistan, free Palestine and free the nipple marches, cause they have to. It's part of their job.

Why attack a "Christmas" market? Isn't this the 2nd time in Germany.
