Biggest as in most known for gay affiliation?

This is actually hard since Lana's fanbase is the biggest but probably 85% women and she is more of an icon for them, in the same way I wouldn't consider Taylor a gay icon despite probably having the sheer numbers of gay men who listen to her. 

 

The others (except for Mitski who is an obvious lesbian icon) are also split between gays and straight men somewhat surprisingly.

 

Maybe Tori? There's a certain demographic of homosexuals who are blood sworn to her and she's always spoken openly in support of queer culture. Hell one of her songs has a gay slur in the title and we cheer for it.

It depends on mood. I switch between Lana, Kate Bush, Tori Amos, Weyes Blood, Angel Olsen and Aldous Harding most often.
 

Mitski's latest album was a revelation to me.

 

I feel most comfortable in that space nowadays but I also sometimes get pulled in to more mainstream artists with fanbases that consist of certain people who sadly only have half a brain cell.
