Right in that there was really an immigration surge when the Democrats have downplayed the issue or the numbers.

I dont think it would benefit the Dems (and the Left) to ignore the immigration issue. This is one salient linchpin of the Republicans and it has definitely costed votes.

Did they really downplay the issue when Kamala ran ads being tough on the border and tried to outTrump Trump? They completely pivoted on the immigration issue

If I were a migrant, I would see the US like a Syrians views Turkey... a country for transit to the holy grail Canada.

 

I know they are fleeing atrocious economic situations in their countries, but the working conditions in the US are also giving 3rd world.

Even me as a Venezuelan have the same sentiments. I try to see the good in some though.
