It's quite literally entering a blind rage because you've created constructs in your head that America and China are two wholly separate realities and comparing them is offensive. (China and America in the development sense are seemingly much alike if given an objective, earnest observation in trying to understand both.) So you think someone is calling for *points to what you wrote* that simply because you hear the word China instead of engaging with the issues someone has said: "You're gonna throw us into a civil war by arguing it's the government's role to not allow someone to become worth $400 billion dollars" what??? Let alone - we're quite literally spiraling into oligarchy and the risk of mass political violence because <3 money is free speech <3 and the low IQ Boer Billionaire was allowed to basically buy all of social media and fill all systems of information with his ideology just cause he's that rich. Once again, you are deliberately misrepresenting facts and statements. There's no sense in arguing with you since you will absolutely attempt to deflect or just go silent. Answer this for me: when did I say China? At all? Oh wait - you did. I also never said that it's not the governments role to not allow someone to become worth $400 billion either. In fact, I have agreed with another user IN THIS THREAD that pointed out that the current American government has the ability to do something about the situation but won't. Your jump to defend a country that I wasn't specifically referencing though is quite telling. You have so far - in this thread towards myself alone - attempted to misrepresent my statements and also fall just short of explicitly supporting an overthrow of the US government. Quite sus if you ask me. And btw my political views are definitely a little more leftist than liberal. I do believe that the wealthy should pay more in taxes. For that to happen the government would actually have to step up and get involved - again, a leftist view. 1

I genuinely think that some are on here as paid agents from other countries. @Harrier same for you. Don't waste your time when they would gladly see us all burn. The sad thing is that they are not even paid to spread this type of ****. They willingly do it themselves, because being ideologically right/morally superior to strangers on the internet is more important to them than the benefits of the community they supposedly want to help. It is that rotten. The fact that they gloat about Trump's or Elon's victory is truly mental illness. They are happy to see us all suffer as long as they can gleefully say "oh we been knew, sweety. you are still making excuses etc. etc. etc." 1 2 3

Oh wait - you did You're.. not getting that your reaction to me bringing up China is the issue, because the reaction makes no sense. I simply pointed out that liberalism in America isn't working anymore. Especially this current brand of neoliberalism we've had since Clinton. Americans need to have a long and deep self-reflection on what they consider to be "essential freedoms" and what kind of society they want to live in. Is the right to be rich an essential freedom? Does spending hundreds of millions of dollars on elections of your own money count as protected speech? That even China - America's nemesis and which Americans consider to be """authoritarian""" - has become objectively more efficient at tackling the corruption of the rich and addressing rapidly worsening income inequality. Say what you want about the Chinese, but the threat and lingering memory of hunger keeps the Chinese public on watch and their politicians largely in-line. This pretty simple and sound point shouldn't incite any kind of insane reaction unless someone has an essentialist hatred of the Chinese people, and yet I am told the following: - "Your ideology is so dangerous. I mean literally out here advocating for torture and concentration camps for rich people." (does the good sis from Australia not know poor people in the US are already performing forced labor when in prison? Why should the rich not have forced labor also part of their incarceration for fiscal crimes? Kamala - the nominee this year - literally defended using poor people as slave labor to fight fires?? ) - "I genuinely think that some are on here as paid agents from other countries... they would gladly see us all burn" - "People like you who go just short of advocating for open civil war or anarchy to overthrow a government... which would lead to countless lost lives in the process" Can't help but address the elephant in the room of someone going "well why don't you at least compare America to a white GOOD nation like... Finland???" > *comparing nearly 350M people and the world's economic superpower to small arctic mountain nations of a few million people living off oil reserves* vs > *comparing two global superpowers taking up huge portions of land, with giant and diverse populations, both battling worsening GINI index measurements of inequality despite growing wealth* A South African billionaire is about to bring polio back to US infants across the nation, so maybe uhhhh there's a bigger material necessity to explore all options and find something - whatever it ends up being - that works to stop America's rapidly worsening dissent into an oligarchy, even if it offends liberal sensitivities of having to look towards non-white aUTHoRITaRiaN nations for answers. loveisdead9582 Posted yesterday at 02:28 AM Posted yesterday at 02:28 AM @Communion there's no point in responding to you as you will deflect or try to misdirect instead of addressing actual questions or concerns. OT: A billionaire being able to independently influence politics is insane. If the federal government actually did their jobs and did an investigation into his taxes and other stuff I'm fairly certain that they could dig up some dirt on him. Owning one of the largest social media companies and using it to promote his/his friends agendas has to count as interference or be illegal… right? 1

You've quote literally deflected from any meaningful discussion to yell "CHINA BAD!!". These liberal sensitivities and inability to engage with uncomfortable ideas without fake deflecting outrage is LITERALLY why Democrats lost once again to Trump. 1

Trump wants loyal hype-men and minions, not co-stars who he has to share the spotlight with. My guess is that Trump turns on him fairly soon into his term and cuts him out of the administration. I have been thinking about this the past 2 days or so. If Trump hasn't already seen how people are creating images and memes of Elon controlling him and Republicans he will and he is going to want to change that perception FAST. I do think also a time may come where Trump cuts him out
JustHoran Posted yesterday at 05:38 AM Posted yesterday at 05:38 AM I definitely think Trump is going to be furious at all the people calling Elon the President now He's going to feud with Musk pretty soon I'm sure and kick him to the curb, just watch. Trump doesn't like anyone stealing his thunder 1

At this point he doesn't give a **** about decorums or loss of profits, since he just bought this new administration in with even less than what he paid for Twitter. He would be swimming in billions of dollars of government contracts. Edited 12 hours ago by Rep2000
