Harlequin deserves better, but it's not everyone's cup of tea for sure  But hey, better than Short n Sweet! I found that to be an incredibly overhyped album for what it ended up being (still a cute little listen and Don't Smile is a good lil' song!).. Tension II seems about right as well. And Katy Perry at last place, as she should be.

tension 2 wasnt as good as tension 1 so i kinda left it off my list too but id still rank it higher than half those albums tbh. but im glad to see glo, kacey, sabrina and gagas harlequin. gosh this year had so many great releases.

I honestly can't remember if I listened to the Adrienne Lenker album lol but I liked some of the songs at least, the other worst albums are fine there, idk why Gracie Abrams is a thing, most boring music I ever heard

 

The only other ones I can see that I like are Charm and Devastating Turn of Events, I haven't heard many albums this year but I've been meaning to listen to Waxahatchee, I like Right Back To It

Yah they were pure filler, even some of the mid 7 albums I only listened to once cause there was nothing really drawing me back to it

I actually somewhat enjoyed Gracie's previous album even if it was a bunch of folkmore rip offs but she's just unbearable now

I usually only stan one song per Clairo album and this time it was Juna

Definitely a downgrade from T1 and I didn't even like that too much outside of the singles  the title track is lowkey her best song tho!

I had 200 albums in 2022  but it was exhausting, I was listening to any random albums knowing they'd be mid so there was no point

Don't Smile is my fave, it actually had some decent songs but the ballads were boring and the bops got annoying and overexposed quickly
