GraceRandolph Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago EXCLUSIVE: In 2020, Chanel Stewart was scrolling through X when she happened upon a post about how Pixar was looking for an authentic, 14-year-old transgender girl to voice a transgender teenager in a new animated series. Stewart, who at 14 had already logged a few commercials, knew instantly that it was her role of a lifetime. "I was exactly what they wanted to a T, and that's why it felt so right. It felt just so right," says Stewart, who is a transgender girl from Los Angeles. "I immediately asked my mom if I could do it, because I just felt like if I don't do this, it wouldn't make sense. You know what I mean?" Full: https://deadline.com/2024/12/win-or-lose-transgender-actress-speaks-after-disney-cuts-storyline-1236209109/
Leppie Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago 2020 seems like a lifetime ago when it comes to LGBT rights. It's sad really 5
Suilen Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago That's the second time they cut out a trans storyline in two months. Trash company. 1
Park Jinyoung Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago The people that were going to boycott this over having a trans storyline are still not gonna watch it unless they get a new actress... So what exactly does Disney think they accomplished here.
Hexchromatica Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago By that logic no Disney film should explore death 1
Just a Gay on ATRL Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Disney is more afraid of offending bigots than offending the LGBT community.

commander Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Disney is in such a weird position when it comes to LGBTQ rep. Netflix has never had any problems bringing queer or minorities storylines into their shows or movies. How come when Disney does it everybody seem to care all of a sudden? People are so weird tbh.
