JGibson Posted December 27, 2024 Author Posted December 27, 2024 Later tonight: MLB and NHL reviews. Arsenal beat Ipswich 1-nil to go 2nd in the PL. Greg Gumbel (as mentioned upthread) died. We have a JGib's Best Of Preview in Gracie Abrams's That's So True. This song landed at #361 in the on-deck section of my countdown. It will likely appear quite high next year. Comment on this and past sets.

They will be temporarily relocating to Sacramento, California to be called the Athletics before decamping to Las Vegas in 2028 to become the Las Vegas A's. The Chicago White Sox were a disaster on the field, as they lost 121 games this season. The RSN crisis continued to unfold this season, as CHSN was launched to be the home for the Chicago White Sox, effective in 2025. The change already took effect for the Chicago Blackhawks and the Chicago Bulls. Diamond Sports Group, which owns the FanDuel (formerly Bally) Sports Networks, lost more channels. JGibson Posted December 28, 2024 Author Posted December 28, 2024 JGib's Best of 2024 | NHL Review Welcome to the 2024 NHL Review, and this edition focuses on the NHL Review for 2024. The 2nd half of the list will pick up later today with songs 180-161, but before that, songs 360-181 so far will be recapped. This is the 15th item of several on the 2024 Best Of syllabus. Previous: MLB Review Next: Recap of Top 360 [360-181] 2023 NHL Review The 2023-24 NHL season ended with the Florida Panthers winning their first ever Stanley Cup trophy. This is the first season of the Utah Hockey Club's existence in the NHL, replacing the dormant Arizona Coyotes. The RSN crisis continues to unfold in the NHL, as CHSN was launched to be the home for the Chicago Blackhawks.Diamond Sports Group, which owns the FanDuel (formerly Bally) Sports Networks, lost more channels, as the Anaheim Ducks, Dallas Stars, and Florida Panthers bailed on DSG. 2023-24 Final NHL Standings (Wild Card) Eastern Conference Top 3 (Metropolitan Division) Pos Team GP W L OTL RW GF GA Hollywood. Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Wasn't expecting a sports recap, but I enjoyed reading over the NHL recap. I use to follow hockey far more in the past, but will watch the occasional game, especially with Prime Video now streaming them. I always feel the Canadian teams always come so close to winning then fall apart at the very end. Still insane that there hasn't been a Canadian team Stanley Cup winner since 1993! Also curious what Utah ends up actually calling their team.
JGibson Posted December 28, 2024 Author Posted December 28, 2024 Later today: The Top 360 Songs of 2024 lists will return with the recap of songs 360-181, and after that, the beginning of the 2nd half of the Top 360: set 180-161.. In the meantime, we have yet another JGib's Best of Throwback in Kelsea Ballerini's hole in the bottle. The song clocked in at #27 in 2020, #10 in 2021, and #244 in 2022. Comment on this and past sets.
