Kern Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 OMG thank you for reminding me of Fantasy, it's the only song I liked from her album and I need to add it to my list too 1
Album Leak Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 We love our Diet Pepsi! '' Nobody moved for Nelly Furtado's comeback. '' Yes, call me out!!! The way Nelly was my childhood and I really did enjoy some of The Spirit Indestructible album but... yeah I don't think there's really a NEED for Nelly Furtado in the current musical landscape I did play I'm Like A Bird a lot this year though! Timeless classic. 1
TalkThatRihanna Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 Diet Pepsi Didnt care for the Jade song tbh 1
Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 Yeah, something shifted when Diet Pepsi was released. The way 2010s Tumblr would've ate the MV too, because the aesthetic is something they would spam on my homepage lol 1
Hyune Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 YESSSSS Diet Pepsi my favourite female vocalist song this year and look at my body + fantasy 1
K$Ellie Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Diet Pepsi my favorite song from her, glad everyone switched as soon as it dropped I didn't bother with the Nelly album nnn the singles were so mid glad another Shygirl song is on the list even tho she disappointed me this year 1
prézli Posted December 21, 2024 Author Posted December 21, 2024 Jennifer Lopez – Can't Get Enough 2 of 2 from Jennifer Lopez Thoughts: We can agree that this song didn't age well. However, I pre-ordered the album when I first heard "Can't Get Enough" and I couldn't get enough with it. It reminds me of "Do It Well" which is also a very underrated track in her discography. "Can't Get Enough" follows the scheme of "Hey Mama" but in a less doo-*** way. It deserved better on the charts.
prézli Posted December 21, 2024 Author Posted December 21, 2024 Benson Boone – Beautiful Things 1 of 1 from Benson Boone Thoughts: I'm not a member of the TikTok generation. I discovered this song while listening to radio in my car. I thought it was from the early 2000's and was surprised that I didn't know this before. But after Googling it, I found out it's from 2024. Alternative rock/pop rock is my favorite genre and I'm glad this song went viral because rock wasn't mainstream in the last decade.
prézli Posted December 21, 2024 Author Posted December 21, 2024 (edited) Shygirl, SG Lewis, Club Shy – mr useless 2 of 2 from Shygirl, 2 of 2 from SG Lewis, 1 of 1 from Club Shy Thoughts: A dance club banger. It feels nostalgic and futuristic at the same time. It reminds me of the sad disco era from the 90's. The vocal delivery sounds so hurt while the instrumental is playful and this mix gives something unique. The other songs are not this good on the EP, so that's it for Shygirl and SG Lewis. prézli Posted December 21, 2024 Author Posted December 21, 2024 Doechii, JT – Alter Ego 1 of 1 from Doechii, 1 of 1 from JT Thoughts: I first heard about Doechii when she was featured on that Katy Perry single, but Spotify recommended "Alter Ego" to me and wow, I blew my mind. Azealia Banks' impact is right here. And maybe M.I.A.'s as well. A very brave track.
prézli Posted December 21, 2024 Author Posted December 21, 2024 ELIO – A2B 1 of 1 from ELIO Thoughts: Easily the best track from "something in the air". It sounds like a fresh summer jam with a little bit of African flavour. The academic chorus is absolutely a bonus point. Why is it 2:10, though?
Album Leak Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Absolute legendary taste with A2B and I agree, 2:10 is too short, you damn khia! 1

prézli Posted December 22, 2024 Author Posted December 22, 2024 Beyoncé – RIIVERDANCE 1 of 3 from Beyoncé Thoughts: Beyoncé represents herself with three songs in the Top 15. "COWBOY CARTER" didn't go as dull as "RENAISSANCE" to me. "RIIVERDANCE" is an excellent mix of blues and R&B; it's sad and happy at the same time, perfect for every occasion.
prézli Posted December 22, 2024 Author Posted December 22, 2024 (edited) METTE – MUSCLE 1 of 1 from METTE Thoughts: First of all, I knew her before she became the opening act of Taylor Swift's tour. "MUSCLE" reminds me of Eric Prydz's "Call on Me" from 2004. An absolute banger. I wish it was a hit. The verses are amazing. Edited December 22, 2024 by prézli
prézli Posted December 22, 2024 Author Posted December 22, 2024 (edited) Beyoncé – TEXAS HOLD 'EM 2 of 3 from Beyoncé Thoughts: "TEXAS HOLD 'EM" is her best lead single since "Crazy in Love". And the riskiest one. I was never into country music, but it's probably better from pop artists. This song is so against mainstream. It's stepping outside of the boundaries while trying to be not too direct. Edited December 22, 2024 by prézli
