Hollywood. Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 I think Positions is one of the few Ariana songs I've used. Expresso also really grew on me over the year as well. 1
Album Leak Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 I genuinely hate Cape God, none of the songs sound enjoyable to me. The Coals song sounds really dope (but omg I hate these short ass songs it's a crime) so I'll have to check their latest album! 1

I love this album, it's one of my faves ever 9 minutes ago, Album Leak said: The Coals song sounds really dope (but omg I hate these short ass songs it's a crime) so I'll have to check their latest album! They will be releasing extended version after being begged for it. The album is more eclectic though, it even has a ballad but it's good overall 1
prézli Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 Crumbs is a classic, but the GP is not ready for this conversation. 1
Suilen Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 Maybe I should listen to that Julia Holter album, I remember liking Have You in My Wilderness. Espresso and HISS are bops obviously. That Camila song wasn't bad. I like Cape God, though Girl with No Face could be slightly better. I don't think I listened to that Cocteau Twins albums, but they're iconic and all. Girlpool sound interesting based on their influences, I'll give them a try. 1
Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 Spinning, Espresso, Hiss The Great Escape is low-key the best album of the 90s (or maybe I'm a little bit biased because it's the first album that I ever discovered them) Also, I wasn't so fond of Cape God and Positions when they were first released, but the albums are slowly growing on me after all these years 1
Escape Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 IN OUR ANGELHOOD MAKE SURE TO LISTEN TO "MUSETTE AND DRUMS" 1
Curaga Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Cape God Stunning album (and then somehow she topped it this year ) 1
Into The Void Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 (edited) I think it's funny Blu Detiger opened for Charlie Puths tour last year and I saw people posting about her earlier this year I did get into a few of her songs tho Spot a fake, Hot Uptown, Espresso, HISS, Make You Mine, Nasty Edited December 21, 2024 by Into The Void 1
Mezik Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Oh the taste. Halsey, Sabrina, Megan. Positions, is a great album it's grown on me a lot I have not appreciated it until much later. 1
Alldeezy Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Dog Years + Expresso + I LUV IT yess Positions in the past album list 1
K$Ellie Posted December 23, 2024 Posted December 23, 2024 the Halsey song you called out yepppp all big bops Hiss and I Luv It are classics too Soccer Mommy's song was cute too but the album was underwhelming imo also obsessed with those two Rebecca songs, easily the best on her album but SWC washed a bit Positions is cute and overhated imo! 1

Kern Posted December 24, 2024 Author Posted December 24, 2024 Hey guys, since it's Christmas break I don't even have my laptop with me so we are going a bit slower But I managed to prepare the list of disappointments There was also an interesting change in the top albums list and one I discovered few days ago replaced my top 5 - but that's for another day Dissapointing flops: albums that ruined music + one producer Don't treat it too seriously! It's not meant to be malicious 1
Renzo_ Posted December 24, 2024 Posted December 24, 2024 Agree with your list, except for Gracie (I actually really liked her ) 1
prézli Posted December 24, 2024 Posted December 24, 2024 Yes, Tinashe wasn't good this year! None of her songs made it to my list when she always had two or three. 1
Mezik Posted December 24, 2024 Posted December 24, 2024 It should be studied how Dua released three promising singles, that had everyone going - and then when the album came out it was a complete dud. FN was an iconic era. RO feels like clearance bin at Walmart. Gracie's album I only like 'us'. The rest sounds like what I envision a mayo and lettuce sandwich without meat would sound like. 1
Kern Posted December 27, 2024 Author Posted December 27, 2024 Time for the final top of songs Next post I will post the rest of top albums and thus we will finish my best of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DfcWOPpmw14
Mezik Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 Oh, screaming "I have great taste" with your number one song. Magdalena Bay was a great discovery this year for me, perhaps my interest will intensify for 'em in the next year because their music really is an all around fantastic journey. I love Lunch, Billie oozed sensuality with confidence like it was her day jobs. Love the Aquamarine love too, Addison is gonna be huge soon if she continues to release quality bops like this. 1
Suilen Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 Aurora, Allie X, queens Let me check out that Angie girlie. 1
