Act II of the stage show is kind of infamously "bad" or at least messy, especially in comparison to Act I. They already said they are changing things, but honestly if you aren't a super fan I would keep my expectations a bit lower.

Okay, it's growing on me. But I hope they either show it as Wicked Part 2: For Good on the title card or remove Part 1 from the first film's title card. It would be so triggering otherwise

The second half of the musical is much weaker than the first imo, I hope they change it up.

The second half has much better songs (ALAYM, No Good Deed, For Good) but it objectively suffers from not having the stable location of Shiz, and is much shorter. We'll see how they pull it off

yeah this is clearly a result of the movie underperforming outside of the anglosphere, "part 2" only would've worked if it was a smash everywhere and not just the english markets. now they still want the chance to catch a broad audience with part 2 and not just the crowd that watched part 1

 

the marketing is really on point and smart.  doubt it will change anything but they're trying.

extremely dark, this will be a similar experience to if you watched the first Harry Potter movie and then skipped to Deathly Hallows Part 2 in terms of tone. It's not just a case of "it's not as good", it's a straight up horror story.

Very curious how this movie turns out.
