Kamil24 Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Justin just keeps making it worse for himself and his party 1

Can't believe y'all are about to enter your Conservative era next year, by the looks of it.... it's a good thing for y'all?Β Β I think CPC is getting a majority government, I would be surprised if they get a minority government. It's funny how people are saying they are moving to Canada here in the States when they are about to get a Conservative government tooΒ Β Screaming at the Green Party being excluded and having two members in parliament. Miss Annamie resigned and we never heard from her again.Β CPC is way more moderate than the actual Republican party. For sure Poilievre is the most populist leader in CPC history, but his policies are far from being as drastic as Trump's ones, so any comparison is futile. The CPC is more of a right wing economic party, on some topics they are kinda on the centre-right spectrum. The probability they win a landslide majority is high but the gap between the Liberals and the PCP will get probably tighter with the election campaign. Any country has its own conservatism movement, some extreme, some moderate and I think Canada's one is more on the moderate scale, Canadians would not allow somebody too extreme taking the power

MP3 Posted December 30, 2024 Author Posted December 30, 2024 With current projections and if the election was today, the Bloc QuΓ©bΓ©bois would be the official opposition Β As a Quebecois I can only be very happy about that 1
woohoo Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 So is this Trump bad or George W Bush bad? Because if it's George W I might still be okay fleeing trumps Gilead for Canada but if it's two trumps I hope Mexico or the UK will take us

Because if it's George W I might still be okay fleeing trumps Gilead for Canada but if it's two trumps I hope Mexico or the UK will take us It's somewhere between Bush and Trump. Bush was very on the economic side which Poilievre seem to stand the most. But on some topics he gets closer to Trump but he never gets as drastic as him. While Trump positions on immigration are hard, for exemple, Poilievre's ones are more nuanced. He never attacks the immigrant itself like Trump does all the time, but instead he's talking about the uncontrolled immigration movement. Some people close to the party and considered "religious" try to make some policies on the program but the vast majority of the PCP future deputies are very moderate, especially the ones on the East side of the country (Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic) which will form the majority of the deputation 1

Kamil24 Posted January 6 Posted January 6 At this moment no other liberal stands a chance, though they will fare better than Justin. I wonder who it will be? Chrystia has come across best recently with her resignation, but she also has no chance against Pierre lol.Β 1

Nobody will want to burn themself in the next election so the ones who are interested by the LPC will wait til the next election in 2029 1
Smarticle Posted January 18 Posted January 18 The right wing stench in here Β That Alberta premier that went to visit Trump Β Hopefully PP won't be in bed with Trump and his Canadian tariffs, even Doug Ford has some sense 1 1
DammnBaby Posted January 18 Posted January 18 I'm voting for Carney. PP has offered zero concrete solutions and is an endless spigot of Verb the Noun monikers. The fact that PP is aligning himself with Danielle Smith is not going to go over well in the rest of Canada. Β Β 3

jadeabove Posted January 20 Posted January 20 If Poilievre continues sucking Trump and Musk's balls, he might sink his own ship. Canadians are not Americans.
Pikachoo Posted January 20 Posted January 20 (edited) it's in French, but the queen of Canadian political commentary, Miss Chantal Hebert, made a good point that the next election will no longer be about 'the carbon tax' that PP keeps rambling on and on about, but rather which leader and party can deal with Trump the best. Β She's still freshly linked to Trudeau's cabinet and the way she jumped ship as Minister of Finance right when the federal deficit was announced?
