I was honestly a little shocked. The first teaser of Wicked gave very meh vibes from memory? But the film itself was absolutely fantastic and Ariana and Cynthia were both just terrific in their roles. 

 

After the non stop rumours about her personal life and random people piling on and making the situation worse for her, she came through with one of the best albums AND best films of the year. Kind of ridiculous.

She proved everyone wrong, including her fanbase. The fact that we've been dragging her for 4 years because of this project monopolizing her career because we were so sure she was wasting her time and the movies would be panned and flop at the box office.

Ari is very natural with a special charm in this movie tbh  and also the vocals. They just really casted the right person for the role. I hope she even gets that Oscar nom and win

What are the odds that Ari may win against Zoe Saldana for Best Supporting Actress tho? Cuz I am not an expert on this.
