If the case is dismissed, at least the woman racked up some millions in exchange for intentionally adding some inconsistencies. It doesn't erase the trauma of that horrible assault, but at least she'll be okay financially.

These new details....   Any of Diddy's other victims that used Buzbee should find a different attorney ASAP. This is not looking good for Jane Doe. Sometimes victims genuinely don't remember details especially if it happened years ago but there are multiple inconsistencies in this case. Her dad not remembering driving the 10 hours total it would've taken to get her, her telling us a very specific conversation that she had with Benji Madden who was in a different state on tour at the time, her saying she may have made a mistake in identifying. Why didn't Buzbee vet her better? I don't understand why he'd risk his reputation on a flimsy case.

Not been following this much at all. It just smells off. 

 

I can't subscribe to the mentality that everyone who cries r*** should be believed automatically. Especially not when I literally know someone  who actually lied about being SA twice by the same person. 

 

It's a lie that could ruin someone's life. Jay Z is fortunate enough to have money for lawyers; not everyone is so lucky.

I also have my own experience of being of SA and when I went to get checked out, even the medical staff had to use the word "allegedly" when writing their notes because it's such a serious claim. 

Obviously not everyone lies, there are many genuine cases, but there is definitely a minority of predatory people who will lie to tarnish someone's reputation and / or to gain financially. This is why evidence is needed and why this kind of stuff should not be broadcast in the media until a verdict comes through, IMO.

If it turned out to be true then, I hope the victim gets justice. Until then, it's just an allegation. Too many people see only a headline and jump to conclusions and call for someone's life to end metaphorically - or literally.

I have not engaged in this topic so far because I'm a fan of the Carters and I have serious biases that arise due to that, and the nature of the case was too serious for me to be making comments any which way. 

 

 

For something so sensitive, it's been best for me to keep quiet and hope and let justice plays out. And that will remain the way I proceed. 

 

My hope is that if there was truly any victim, they get the full justice. 

 

I will forever feel bad about how people care more about bringing Jay Z (and Beyoncé) down than about any real justice or crime or victim. People have practically been edging for something to pin on them. Even since Diddy case, it's always been jay is next - for no reason except "vibes" (hello racism and prejudice). As a fan I deal with it cuz I somewhat understand the nature of humans to bring down incredibly successful figures - especially rags to riches moguls like Jay Z who seem to have it all (including a family and stability and longevity). The whole angle of wanting to bring Bey down isn't lost on me either. It makes me sad but it's the reality. 

 

Again, at the end of the day, I just hope justice is served. I really hope the Diddy cases don't take a setback because of the Jay Z case (which seems to be not very strong). The lawyer taking such a big L will hurt the other cases and I hope that doesn't happen (maybe they need to find another lawyer).

This isn't a good look for the accuser but I wouldn't count her story out just yet, although it's obvious the users in the last two or three pages can't wait for this to end (and in his favor). 

Many victims just don't remember the specifics of their rape and most of it is a total blur, especially if they were drugged like she says she was. It happening 24 years ago doesn't help either. I wonder if maybe she got the year or the event wrong.

Last thing on this update, it's possible multiple things can be true at once:

 

-Diddy is a monster

-His high-profile settlement with Cassie opened the flood gates for people to start telling tales hoping for a quick buck

-There are many Diddy accusers that aren't lying

-Y'all sixth sense didn't pick up on this woman's fibs/inconsistencies for whatever reason

-Accusations should all be tended to with the same respect pending further investigations revealing otherwise

yeah Jay Z might not be a saint but this accusation was extremely incriminating. I don't think anyone should expect the accuser to remember every detail of an allegedly traumatic night for her.

 

but her making up stories about the celebrities she talked to and her own father saying he doesn't remember ever driving 5 hours to pick her up in the middle of the night... that's so fishy. she might be an actual rape victim but it sounds like the lawyer talked her into accusing people she's never interacted with.
