I'm confused. Isn't the whole point of her character that she isn't a native Spanish speaker? Sure, she could've done a bit better I guess but her character was meant to be this way.

Yeah the accent is probably the most accurate piece of acting she has going on in the film lol

Well clearly Selena shouldnt have even bothered to answer him since she's nominated today for a Golden Globe for it (and a DOUBLE nom cuz she also got one for OMITB) today and her spanish song Mi Camino just won a Hollywood Critics Association Award yesterday.
