that said, i hope the poor interviewer takes it in stride and finds the humor in it, too.  They're both big stars and I'd be so embarrassed

she's booked and busy :dies: iconic

hopefully the interviewer doesn't feel embarrassed about that moment

She shouldn't tbh. Her word choices were a bit odd but it was Cynthia's reaction and Ariana's finger thing that made it actually weird. Like, she just asked "queer people are resonating with the song, how do you feel about it?" in a pretentious phrasing, this isn't really on her (although they're clearly trying to "pin" it on her)

Glad she's benefiting from this

Making a promo video about a meme that happened in a promo video is getting a bit much. When is this Wicked thing ending.

I'm not entirely buying this. I don't think Ariana fully grasped what was happening, but it feels like Cynthia is backtracking. All the online feedback from this press run has been about them crying a lot, and people found Cynthia's reaction so over-the-top to that reporter's nonsensical statement that it turned into a meme.

Sure, the reporter's comment was a bit off, but Cynthia's intense reaction made it all the more bizarre. If you didn't understand what was she was saying...then maybe don't react so strongly? Ariana basically says that to her in this clip...but a lot more nicely lol.

Ariana holding her finger because she didn't know what to do is still so funny though.

queens tbh

they are just sensitive, as most artists are, and the fact that people are trying to use that against them seems evil to me

"Am I also in queer media, maybe?"

I love them. :deadbanana:

I mean it was obvious no one in that room had any idea what was going on lmao. That said that particular viral video is probably one of the funniest things to happen this year. I always die laughing when it pops up on social media. Peak cinema peak camp peak everything

Wait people don't understand what "im really holding space with that" means? :psyduck: It's just another way of saying ppl are resonating with it.

Ariana looks great here.

Exactly! I just watched the original interview today and I was confused by what was confusing about her question.
