ATRL Moderator Popular Post Bloo Posted December 5, 2024 ATRL Moderator Popular Post Posted December 5, 2024 It’s worth noting the study doesn’t seem to have any data showing the consumption of GenAI music from users. Hopefully people naturally find themselves not liking this cheap, cynical product masquerading as music. 11 4
Cyanide Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Time for the guillotine for these oligarchs that constantly want to suck us dry of EVERY part of human existence 6 6

And what about the kids? They think that's music. They definitely don't know any better
Jay07 Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 (edited) I didn't even know AI music even existed, let alone that people consumed it. What a sad state of affairs. What's the point of art if you don't get the point of view of the artist? Edited December 5, 2024 by Jay07 2 12

What's the point of art if you don't get the point of view of the artist? A lot of people who listen to AI music prefer the AI generated voices compared to actual human voices. Plus the lyrics in most songs are basically gibberish anyway, so AI lyrics are not that out of place compared to most pop songs. 3

They'll likely eat this music up and bot183821 will snatch Lil Nas x's record and outsell Taylor and Adele in albums. I hate it here 5

Capris Groove Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 I want to know every person who listens to AI music so I can immediately disqualify anything they have to say lol. 1

I don't think that's true, the appeal of AI music has always been "what if artist "A" sang or recorded artist's Y's-song." I find it very hard to believe that someone actually prefers an AI generated voice (which is far from perfect and no where near the original artist's voice) on a song. 1

Punky Rooster Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Meh, auto tune has existed for decades, no one's real voice is used any more anyway. 1 1 1

Just go around Spotify and look up the most popular instrument tracks and most of the artists popping up are from 2-3 years ago and have all the signs of being AI.
AgentChain Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 People in favor of AI music using the "it's better anyway" or "autotune existed for decades" or "i want my faves to sing x song" should he banned from this forum of all forums. You all can have the giggles and fantasies in the world but wait till your faves make a fit and stop releasing music altogether because of your reasoning. Let's see how you like that. 1
NextBish90 Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Not only them, but many corporations staff and many other sectors.
Genie in a Bottle Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 And this will complete the enshittification of the entertainment industry. The movies, tv shows, and (mainstream) music the past 10 years, especially the past 5, have all been largely cheap, unoriginal, uninspired, poorly written, and lazy. This is the final nail in the coffin.
