That perp walk with 20 cops behind him is actually iconic. I can't believe they wouldn't recognize that kind of iconography, right down to the 'star' in a different colour.

I mean, cops are working class, maybe deep down they support him. :laugh2:

I'm aware of the preference by many to avoid extreme or uncomfortable comparisons, but how would people have felt about violence against slaveowners or anyone else who was pro-slavery during that era of U.S. history? I'm genuinely asking.

Full disclosure: To whatever extent that it may or may not be relevant, I'm a white Hispanic American and not an expert on the topic by any means.

I've re-watched Sicko by Michael Moore again... and I have to say... the CEO had it coming and so do all the others aligned with US health care providers.

These US health insurances kill hundreds of people every single day and a hundred thousand every single year with millions more in critical conditions.

I am also against murder and find such actions despicable and unacceptable... however, nobody does anything to give the American GP a working health care system... and these rich CEOs couldn't give a fark about the lives of others.

In the Michael Moore documentary they showed cases of children not being treated bc the parents drove to the wrong hospital and then the kids died... or how multiple cancer patients did not get their medications and also died.

What's going on in the US isn't even 4th world anymore... it's stoneage.

Obviously, Luigi Mangione should get an appropriate sentencing for his crime... but so do all the American health insurence workers who let people die and or put people into life-ending debts.

Not him absolutely glowing and looking hot as hell when he likely hasn't slept in over two weeks and has spent the last week in jail probably using the same bar of soap he's been washing his genitals with for his face. I doubt they serve face wash, moisturizer, sunscreen and tretinoin in jail :rip:

Every single time the traditional media rails against him just makes him seem that much cooler. Like the iconography that's coming from these perp walk photos will have people talking a and will give screenwriters, Directors and cinematographers material for years to come, regardless of the outcome.

This post is kind of ironic because the Phase I clinical trials for tretinoin were actually conducted on prison inmates in the 1960s.

The cops and media have no idea how cool they're making him look :deadbanana2:

Why is Eric Adams there standing behind looking like a disappointed father?  :priceless:

i think they actually want him alive, pleading guilty, sentenced quickly, and locked up in a maximum security prison for life so no one can hear from him and collectively forget about this. they're dangling the death penalty to push him to take a plea deal. they don't want him dying a martyr.

Jailing him or killing him won't change anything. Everything this man does is seen as cool by generally… everyone.

If anyone tries to mimic his actions, it'll just fuel the fire twice as fast.

The way they're trying to discredit him and tarnish his name with these pap walks and photoshoots but they're literally just canonizing him :deadbanana4:

The terrorism charges are absurd, and I guess I have the tiniest sliver of faith in the justice system to believe that they'll be tossed because surely they're not that dumb :suburban:

Spoiler

Are there still impartial juries for federal cases? What is his attorney going to likely argue for - life in prison vs death penalty?

This is not looking good :dancehall:
