Wicked Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago (edited) RocNation.lnk.to/TBOH The Ultimate version is $2k, the Classic version is $120 Shawn "JAY-Z" Carter, has established himself as a visionary and cultural icon. The extraordinary book, The Book of HOV celebrates his groundbreaking career and the first- of-its-kind immersive exhibit, The Book Of HOV: A Tribute. Held at the Brooklyn Public Library, from July to December 2023 The Book Of HOV: A Tribute attracted over 600,000 visitors, making it one of the largest public installations in U.S. history. This Assouline title commemorates and immortalizes the immersive installation, showcasing in one place the thousands of archived objects from every facet of JAY- Z's professional life—including original recording masters, stage wear, interviews, videos, awards, and unseen photographs. Readers will find it all, from the guitar JAY-Z played at Glastonbury Festival (the first rapper to grace that rock-and-roll stage) to Daniel Arsham's sculpture "HOV Hands," (the iconic gesture, made famous by JAY-Z and seen at his concerts across the globe), to his Rock & Roll Hall of Fame award (JAY-Z is the first solo hip hop artist inducted) to hundreds of paper planes (created schoolchildren across NYC wrote their dreams inside). With eight chapters (each title drawn from JAY-Z's lyrics), The Book Of HOV details the pillars of Shawn Carter's influence, from his artistry and craft to his entrepreneurship and activism. In addition to the book's nearly 700 images, the tome includes in-depth essays on each chapter's theme, contextualizing the icon's achievements and impact on culture. More than a multi-hyphenate, JAY-Z has broken new ground in an astonishing number of arenas, both figurative and literal. The Book of HOV uncovers how JAY-Z demonstrates— with his whole being—that you can set your intention and create your own story. Edited 13 hours ago by Wicked

Popboi. Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago A $2k book after his weed business did worse than Tinashe's? Bey is truly the one putting in green numbers in the household the past few years. 10
Elementary Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Not to diminish his legacy but he hasn't had a hit since the Obama administration and that was driven by JT. Pop girls would be dragged for much less… He's a remarkable businessman but a "cultural icon" sounds like a stretch… 1 5 6

Pop girls would be dragged for much less… He's a remarkable businessman but a "cultural icon" sounds like a stretch… You are extremely delusional. This why y'all was crying over that Billboard list because cultural impact doesn't have a chart system you don't get it. Jay Z was quoted and referenced multiple times in the biggest pop culture event of the year. He's a massive influence on all 4 of the biggest hip-hop artists out (J Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj & Drake) Just because y'all throw people away when they don't have hits doesn't mean other genres do. Nas hasn't had a hit since the 2000s and he's beloved and cherished. 5 3

Mezik Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago $120.00 doesn't seem that bad because it looks like it will be quality. The $2,000.00 price tag is steep, but there's people who idolize him and will view this as essential to have.
Reverie Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago jhkgkjjwbg Well idk about that but the BPL collab was fun, had me running around Brooklyn trying to collect all the ones that I wanted. I couldn't get The Black Album card tho And the librarian at the Clinton Hill branch was probably just happy to see me and my friend getting literacy rates up she started talking to me about the Culture Pass which has saved me a nice penny or two for the past year. All NYCers should look into that if they haven't. #ThankYouJayZ for that. Also I was disappointed in how washed out the colors of the Blueprint card was but now after a year his body has some kind of turquoise outline for some reason and it looks cooler, kinda like a deep fried meme
Vixen Eyes Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago is he tryign to fund the inevitable bribe he's gonna have to give to get out of prison for being connected to diddy?
