#10: Ashton Kutcher

Ashton Kutcher's reputation as a lovable goofball faced significant challenges in 2024. While his prior involvement in writing a character reference for his convicted co-star Danny Masterson remains controversial, it's his connection to Sean "Diddy" Combs that has drawn new scrutiny. The actor was a regular at Diddy's parties in the early 2000s and even co-hosted one of the mogul's notorious "White Parties." Kutcher has since downplayed his involvement in the events – which are part of serious accusations aimed at Combs. Further resurfaced clips of Kutcher have also raised eyebrows, including a moment in 2003 where he commented that Hilary Duff was "one of the girls we're all waiting to turn 18."

#9: Justin Timberlake

To say Justin Timberlake had a challenging 2024 would be a wee bit of an understatement. Over the summer, Timberlake was arrested in Long Island for failing to obey a stop sign and driving erratically. While he initially pleaded not guilty to driving while intoxicated, he later accepted a reduced charge - paying a small fine, accepting community service, and making a public safety announcement. This latest fumble, which also got his driver's license suspended, did little to erase the previous image-tarnishing caused by Britney Spears' memoir, where she accused her ex of infidelity (among other damning claims). However, "The Forget Tomorrow World Tour" has been mostly successful, indicating Justin's loyal fans still have his back.

#8: Katy Perry

Katy Perry's public standing, once a "Teenage Dream," turned into something more akin to a nightmare in 2024. The pop star's highly anticipated comeback failed to generate the positive buzz she had hoped for. Criticism arose over the music video for "Woman's World," which included lyrics like "It's a woman's world and you're lucky to be livin' in it." Fans were not happy to learn it was produced by Dr. Luke, who had previously been accused of several forms of abuse by Kesha. Adding to her woes, Perry's "Lifetimes" music video shoot caused environmental controversy when it took place in the protected dunes of the Balearic Islands. All this led to underperforming singles and social media takedowns from the public.

#7: Kanye West

Kanye West's tumultuous 2024 has done little to lure the public back to his side. In June, former assistant Lauren Pisciotta sued West for sexual harassment, assault, and wrongful termination. In October, a former "director of intelligence" accused West of instructing him to investigate the Kardashians and "tail" his wife, Bianca Censori. Earlier in the year, former employee Benjamin Deshon Provo also filed a lawsuit claiming he was fired for refusing to shave his dreadlocks, which are tied to his Muslim faith. Meanwhile, project manager Murphy Aficionado alleged unpaid wages and detailed being subjected to "racist lectures" and "antisemitic conspiracies involving the Kardashians." Will Kanye's woes ever end?

#6: Ellen DeGeneres

Ellen DeGeneres' reputation as the so-called "Queen of Kindness" continued to decline in 2024. Former staff members have once again spoken out regarding allegations of a toxic workplace on her now-defunct talk show. The controversy, which began in 2020 with claims of racism, bullying, and harassment, resurfaced after the release of Ellen's 2024 Netflix special. In it, DeGeneres addressed the backlash by describing the accusations as "devastating." However, former employees criticized her response, accusing Ellen of downplaying their experiences and reframing herself as a victim of media scrutiny. Much of the public agreed, saying the special was simply Ellen's attempt at reframing the narrative.

#5: Artem Chigvintsev

Best known for his performances on "Dancing with the Stars," Artem Chigvintsev became embroiled in controversy in 2024 following a nasty split from Nikki Garcia. In August, just days after celebrating their second wedding anniversary, Chigvintsev was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence, though charges were later dropped. Both he and Garcia have accused each other of being the aggressor, and each has obtained a restraining order against the other. The incident, and his perceived lack of accountability, made Chigvintsev a hugely polarizing figure online – especially among fans of "Dancing with the Stars." Chigvintsev did not return for the latest season of the ABC dance competition series, and it's unknown if he will be back.

#4: Jake Paul

Jake Paul has long been despised by the public, and 2024 has certainly not changed that. The former Youtuber and Disney Channel actor has faced prior accusations of being a "racist bully," and mistreating his entourage and girlfriends. Known for his inflated ego and flaunting of wealth, the now-notorious boxer obnoxiously taunts his opponents, further fueling his divisive reputation. The 27-year-old's highly anticipated fight against 58-year-old Mike Tyson also sparked widespread criticism, with many accusing the match of being "staged," while others deemed it unfair given the vast age difference. It's no surprise that Jake Paul's countless critics continue to root for an opponent to finally "take him down" in the ring.

#3: Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle's strained relationship with the British royal family continues to fuel her dislike, with many accusing the Duchess of Sussex of exploiting her royal connections for fame. Since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, Meghan and Prince Harry have relocated to California, focusing on philanthropy and personal branding efforts. However, their Spotify and Netflix projects have been marred by claims of self-interest. It's said that Meghan still remains fully committed to building her image in the U.S, but with Hollywood ventures faltering, it leaves many to wonder if she can truly find acceptance on either side of the "pond."

#2: Vince McMahon

There appears to be no "kicking out" of this one. Vince McMahon, the former owner of the WWE, was the focus of many unsettling allegations in 2024. Despite numerous scandals over the years, Vince has always managed to retain control of his pro wrestling company, growing it into a global empire. However, following an investigation into multi-million-dollar payouts, McMahon stepped aside. He briefly returned as executive chairman in 2023, overseeing WWE's merger with UFC under TKO, but stepped down again amidst more accusations - including trafficking. These recent allegations seem to have revealed that the persona we all saw on TV was not that different from the "real" Vince McMahon.

#1: Sean "Diddy" Combs

2024 has solidified Diddy's place as the most reviled name in Hollywood. On September 16 2024, music mogul Sean Combs was arrested in New York City and charged with racketeering, trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage in relations for money. Prosecutors allege Diddy ran a criminal enterprise that involved forced labor, kidnapping, and bribery. They also detailed his so-called "Freak Offs" - orchestrated erotic activities where Diddy allegedly directed men and women in X-rated performances. The disgraced rapper also faces an onslaught of civil lawsuits alleging various unlawful acts – many involving youths. Combs has denied all charges, but if convicted, faces up to life in prison.

The UK press have blamed her for Charles and Kate's cancer due to "years of unwanted stress" and it also being "her fault from not coming to visit in their time of need", despite being told by the press to go away and never come back.

Beyonce by far. The way people tried to connect her to things is unbelievable. There's so much hostility towards Black women on a global spectrum, even from other Blacks.

If you search "Beyoncé Reddit" (outside of her fan subreddit) it is all threads talking negatively. Won't see the same consistent hate for any other popstar. If you take away the media adoring her, she'd definitely be viewed as hated overall which is so puzzling but makes so much sense knowing how USA elections turn out.
