Matchatea Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Billboard opens up about the choice for choosing Rihanna over Drake for the number 3 spot…. Where they end up DRAGGING him by what is left of his hair… thoughts and do you agree? 5
Popular Post halcyonday Posted December 3, 2024 Popular Post Posted December 3, 2024 Journalism in 2024 just being twitter insults and "kiiis". A tragedy. 16 3
AmericanIdol Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Billboard is a joke. Katy Perry deserved Top 3. 8 1 1
Popular Post Arthoe Posted December 3, 2024 Popular Post Posted December 3, 2024 Quote None of Rihanna's #1s are cheap #1s. A lot of Drake's #1s are racked up in the streaming era when he can debut at #1 but it slowly slides down. Rihanna never had that advantage. She had to build up to a #1 hit and it became the #1 biggest hit of the decade. I don't think there's any of the 14 that you would say, 'I don't remember that one.' Omg WHACK HIM AGAIN 12 3
Pheromosa Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 (edited) they're right but i can't believe they just said this Edited December 3, 2024 by Pheromosa 1 4

So they're kinda criticising themselves? 2 10
Flare Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 "Drake looks like a simp", well he might be one tbh. Ignoring that, Billboard didn't lie. He still got a good ranking on the list. Idk why anyone is mad at BB for this of all things.

ShouldersSideways Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Some of you act like Billboard swore a solemn music industry Hippocratic Oath. They have have a division that factually reports the charts, and then they also editorialize. It's not anti-journalistic value the way you want it to be. 4 1
ImsoLOUD Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 this whole thing was messy but Quote By the time, he started racking them up as a lead artist, she's gone. She's like 'I'm done with the game.' this applies to a few different artists today ! clock that tea 4
Khal Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Not to defend Drake at all (ew), but I hate when publications wait until an artist is down before kicking them. Drake has always been corny, right from the start, but I just know they would never have published this if he wasn't been KO'd by Kendrick atm. 9 3
Digitalism Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 (edited) The funny thing is that some of you respect this publications like they don't hire their writers straight from X. Music journalism is kinda dead Edited December 3, 2024 by Digitalism 2
Velvet Night Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 An extremely biased and unprofessional article but we love to see the whacking! 4
DanyelP23 Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Is there a link/real source to this article? I've seen it posted on Lipstick Alley and the source there is, as here, Buzzing Pop.
unclefloprry Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Since the stan twitter "boom", the media feels safe dragging and mocking big celebrities (sports, music, TV) again because they know baits like this will make noise on social media. Then they act like cry babies when it backfires on them (like Halsey did). 1

How would your fandom feel if they do the same with Beyoncé? because all her #1s this decade are being front-loaded even worse than Drake's, or if they talk about the Cowboy Carter and Rena Fiasco and more stuff? 1
Cheers Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Idk why stans of anyone in the top 10 is upset. Making the top 10 ALL TIME list is impressive.

I can say with completely sincerity that I would not care and go about my day. It's people on a podcast discussing the list as cultural critics. There are many different kinds of journalism, and it's baffling to me people don't get that. Even the most esteemed newspapers in the world have op-eds and cultural critique.
Damien M Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Ugh hate that lame bro-speak made its way to freaking Billboard of all places.
Fitzswiftie Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Why is Buzzing Pop just reporting that now? The billboard staff said that on Rihanna's podcast episode nearly three weeks ago. 1
