Nintendo's biggest mistake was not following through with the Sony deal. 

 

Never had an og psone, even tho I really wanted one when I was a teenager. 😢

Playstation 1 the childhood memories with gran turismo, tekken and final fantasy etc...

I remember in 1998, the year I turned 9 years old, my Parents got me a Playstation with Spryo the Dragon, Crash Bandicoot and Medievil. I'm eternally grateful they got me that, something that lasted years instead of Power Rangers Megazord that has little to no replayable value. Then next Christmas, they got me a Gameboy with Pokemon Red and then for my 11th Birthday, it was Pokemon Yellow and a Gameboy Colour. 

 

As I grow older and they do too, I can't help but think that while my Parents made some mistakes with me, there's a lot of good things they did do, this being one perfect example of that. I credit them for getting me into gaming, something I still do to this day. It provided me with tens of thousands of hours of enjoyment and a place to escape to when things weren't going well.

 

I can't wait to see what the next 30 years of Playstation and gaming gives us, because I know that it's only going to be amazing.

Ngl, this is too true. I feel like AAA gaming has become too expensive and there must be huge amounts of pressure to deliver, with Sony and Playstation feeling risk-adverse to creating new IPs and only wanting to focus on sequels and licensed-adapations like Spider-Man. 

 

I think the graphics are good enough as they are, judging by the incredible graphics on Horizon: Forbidden West. I just want AAA gaming to become less expensive and for PS to feel comfortable taking more risks.
