Experiences with the paranormal?

I just watched Anabelle and I got a sudden urge to buy an old porcelain vintage doll. I found one that was hand made and I am buying it from an old lady who CLEARLY wants to get rid of it ASAP even tho it's in pristine condition and looks amazing (still in it's box and is one of only 1000). She is only selling it for 10$. CLEARLY something is wrong with this doll :skull:

Have you had any paranormal activity stuff happen to you?

In high school, I was babysitting for a single mom and her two kids who lived a couple streets down from me. It was in the middle of winter in Ontario and when I arrived it was already pitch black out, around 6 PM. She lived in a townhouse.

While I was standing in the living room with her and her girls talking about how the rest of the night would go, a little boy in full snow gear came in through the front door, stomped through the living room past us, and headed down the stairs to the basement. The mom never even looked at him or stopped talking. The girls didn't make any acknowledgement that they saw him.

At the time I remember thinking, wait she has three children? I must have gotten something mixed up. But fine, no worries, I can take care of three. So I didn't call anyone's attention to it.

Once the mom left, I asked the girls about their brother who came in and they both said they had no idea what I was talking about. "We don't have a brother." I was completely dumbfounded. My next thought was who is this boy who came into the wrong house by mistake. I wasn't particularly scared honestly, it had to have been some mixup. I flicked on the light to the basement and headed down the stairs. It was a small unfinished wooden basement with one single room and a closet. No windows. He wasn't in the room and, again, I clearly remember approaching the closet door knowing that he would be in there. And he wasn't.

No one was down there and the little boy definitely had not come back upstairs in that time.

So, so weird and the only time I have truly believed I experienced something paranormal.

Hmm if you guys were standing in the living room discussing how the night would go and then the boy appeared right at that time, why wouldn't you asked them about him? I am not saying your story isn't real, just that it's a bit weird that you did not ask. I would understand if you guys weren't talking about how the rest of the night would go tho :jonny6:

Idk. I was 16. The little boy came in so naturally and knew his way around that I just chalked it up to, oh, I guess she has a third kid.

Yeah I mean it should be a protocol for the mom to tell you HOW MANY CHILDREN you should take care of right? Sorry for questioning all this. He was prolly a ghost.

I think I technically might've had sex with a ghost ‪before? :tornado:

Spoiler

it's kind of a funky story but it's when I was late in teenagehood (exact year, idr) and my family owned this beach house in Wellfleet that was literally called Belvernon (girl… it having a name makes me feel like my family sounds so pretentious :tornado: tbf, when we bought it it was SO worn down that it brought the market value WAY down so we bought it for a very cheap price in those days [2010]) anyway! Belvernon's history was kinda crazy because it was originally built by this guy L. Dow Baker, who was the first guy to bring bananas to the contiguous US. he was a sh*tty ass person for many reasons! but his sister Maddie was "really cool" (allegedly) (and like for her time) (the mid to late 1800s) and when my dad toured the house for the second time after we bought it, his friend who was doing some repairs mentioned that "Aunt Maddie's ghost still haunts these halls" and that she's "cool though, as long as you're not a controlling woman!" and by his account, one time (before my dad got there that summer) he was moving some stuff in and he put a vacuum cleaner next to the window of one of the hallways and he turned around for a second to pick up some of his tools and when he turns back around, the vacuum cleaner had jetted 20 feet in the opposite direction in a different hallway! so yeah, my dad instantly believed that Aunt Maddie existed and so did I once I had heard that story! flash forward like a good two or three or four years since we bought the house… I'm laying in bed, sleepless, cause I've had insomnia almost my whole life, and I'm j*cking off. everyone else in the house is asleep and it's like 2 or 3 am at this point. now, I have the corner second floor room, and this is the purported room that belonged to Maddie when she was still alive in the late 1800s. I'm just playing with myself in the dark and all of a sudden I see the white curtain on the window start glowing a little bit in the light and I start hearing a whoosh of the wind. all of a sudden, I feel a different presence on my d*ck, a certain weight and softness, and I take my hand off. I c*m within twenty seconds without even stimulating my own d*ck and then i immediately see the curtain ruffle in the curtains again and i just couldn't believe what just happened. it happened SO quickly. it genuinely feels like I had one of my first sexual experiences with f*cking Aunt Maddie, an infamous ghost that lived in my family's beach house :deadbanana: my parents have since sold it (so that I could finish college) (it was also way too much upkeep to just own tbh, it's a big ass house). oh and continuing on the little "controlling woman" thing, my mom, to appease Maddie's spirit, would always say "hello Aunt Maddie we're here!" or "goodbye Aunt Maddie we're leaving!" lmao. she was very convinced that Aunt Maddie didn't like her (love my mom, but yes she is indeed controlling). but yeah, crazy paranormal experience right there!

my other story is similarly insane, it was a few winters ago (I wanna say 2018?) and I was visiting my family in Maryland in the house my parents still own that I spent my first 18 years in…

Spoiler

so my maternal grandmother (bubbie) died when I was about 13. I was 13 in 2010, and my mom's family has a history of having kids later in life (I, the youngest of 5, was born when my mom was 41 and a half years old. she, the youngest of 4, was born when her mom was 36 and a half). my bubbie always freaked me out a bit because I could tell she's where my mom got a LOT of her tiger mom-ish tendencies from (it's a big thing with jewish mothers tbh) and to this day my mom is still SUPER ambiguous/dodgy about her feelings towards her mom. anyway, we have this lovely portrait of my bubbie when she was in her mid-20s sitting on our piano, and my bedroom in my parents' house is right above that piano. so I'm still in college at this point, and i'm on winter break. I've had sleep paralysis before so this might've been an example but i swear to god, one morning when no one was in the house (mom running errands, my dad at work i think, my siblings all with their respective friends) I open my eyes and am waking up and I see my bubbie's disembodied face on the corner of the ceiling in my room, just gently gliding back and forth for like 5 seconds and I could've sworn she said my name just ONCE :deadbanana4: she was like "Joe."  the whole time, I couldn't move, I felt frozen in fear. I close my eyes HARD and open them again and it's quiet in the house, not a peep. I get up for the day and nothing else happens, the next morning comes and I wake up and again am not able to move my arms for like 10 seconds, but that time I didn't see my bubbie's silhouette or anything. that never happened again, but I was friends with this girl who at the time was very spiritual and she told me to try to contact my bubbie once I got back to my apartment in Colorado. I did, by doing some spell she told me to do before i fell asleep, and in a dream my bubbie came to me and told me that it wasn't anything, she just wanted to say hi  so that was anticlimactic and honestly I wanted it to be something more insane or life changing lol. she reached out to me like 8 years after her death just to say hi in a ghostly form :deadbanana2:

I KNOW RIGHT :tornado: to put this into perspective though, lemme bring up right quick that I have a floater security guard at my job who a few weeks back literally told me 5 consecutive ghostly encounters he had in his life out of nowhere until I just HAD to interject that i hadn't asked and that he was overwhelming me (and then i went into the bathroom to have a panic attack!)

his were… REALLY something else (he was really hot though, my height [5'6] half jewish half latino cute, bearded, and had a nice hairstyle, so I was honestly being more patient with him than I might regularly be at 3 am!)

i once experienced sleep paralysis before which usually is linked w ghosts/spirits in my country. other than that, i feel like im a bit too ignorant to notice paranormal activities happening around me :suburban: or maybe there ain't one

Sometimes I see ghosts and have prophetic dreams but that's about it.

Have you had any paranormal activity stuff happen to you?

Buy it and then report what you witness, I smell a HIT thread :giraffe:
If it gets too agressive/violent, just play the Willow MV to make it feel more at home :date4:
