Popular Post Dear Reader Posted 9 hours ago Popular Post Posted 9 hours ago I just need to vent a bit, sorry that it's got to be here. I had the most horrible day. I woke up in the morning to my 11 year old cat with a breathing problem and I had to take her to a vet hospital. I picked her up at the end of the afternoon and everything was okay with her, gladly. After that, we were all having a happy family moment, we put up the christmas tree. My sister was over with my newborn nephew. (Trigger Warning after this) Spoiler My little 3 year old dog was standing on a chair and as my sister approached to pick him up, he jumped and hit his head on the floor, taking his life in front of us… I ran to the vet hospital with him and they tried to bring him back to life but couldn't Even the vet was sad. My sister is feeling very guilty of all of this and I don't know what else to say to her too. All of it happened in a matter of 30 minutes. I feel absolutely broken right now. My life is at one of the lowest points and I don't even have the strength to seek help. Has anyone ever felt like this before? I don't know, I just feel like it's a lot to process at the moment. Thank you all for taking the time to read this and hold tight to the things you have in life. It's all just so fickle and quick. 24

Stardom Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago It's so painful when we lose our pets, but it sounds like a freak accident that nobody could possibly have seen coming. I know it doesn't mean much coming from a stranger on the internet but my thoughts are with you and your sister 3

Mr. Peanutbutter Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I'm sorry for your loss. I think you and your sister must be on some sort of shock for having to witness something so fast. Just take your time, it's no one's fault, take care of yourself and your sister, it's going to be ok 1
Maxxxine Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I'm so sorry baby. Do not blame yourself or your sister. It was an accident and it's what was written in the cards for the angel dog. Life is so precious and fragile, feel better soon 1
wastedpotential Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Oh beloved I am so sorry. Losing a pet is an incredibly painful experience, especially so suddenly. I once had a freak accident with my dog, where she snuck out of the house and passed, and it was one of the most devastating moments of my life, and it took me a long time to really get over it. The only advice I can offer in working through the grief is to breathe and to reflect on the best memories. That feeling of loss and what if never really goes away, but the sadness will dull and one day you'll be able to look back fondly at the good moments without feeling that pit in your stomach. It just takes time, and maybe a lot of it. I'm sending you and your sister a million hugs, and you know you can always reach out privately 1
IBeMe Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago omg I am so sorry for your loss sis :( This actually broke my heart...you guys witnessing that...I feel bad for your sis too Stay strong. i know how our pets are truly our best friends and sources of comfort and even like therapy ...I klnow a lot of ppl discourage u from getting a new pet shortly after one dies but in your case I feel like you would REALLY beenfit from adopting another dog shortly. It actually helps a lot especially when a dog passes away tragically like that and not due to age where u are expecting it 1
Cruel Summer Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Very sorry to hear this - remember that you gave him the best life you could. Make sure to take some time for yourself to just be away from things and process a little bit - it's important to take care of yourself. Things like this just happen sometimes, and it's terrible, but the time you shared with your pet was valuable for you and him alike no matter what. 1
