Album threads get closed after 6 months after release (I think) which doesn't make sense tbh.

Yeah, i just saw that TTPD thread was also closed, what a dumb ass rule, they should wait as least a year, there's still Award season coming, new singles coming

i thought the album thread needed to be 12 months old and no activity for it to get closed before ?

but i didn't say it just because of that, notorious streaming achievements are getting merged with the streaming discussion thread

I don't remember if it was 12 or 6, but they closing after some time existed a long time ago.
