Elon Musk is reportedly planning to donate $100 million to Nigel Farage in a bid to shake up British politics ahead of the next election.

The Tesla and X (formerly Twitter) boss, who has openly supported Donald Trump in recent months and spoke at a Republican rally, is said to be considering backing the far-right Reform UK party.

Acording to the Times, Musk's goal could be to help Farage become prime minister.

The billionaire may be able to sidestep overseas donation laws by funneling the £78 million through the UK branch of X, which he owns.

Mr Farage told the Times: "All I can say is that I'm in touch with him and he is very supportive of my policy positions.

"We both share a friendship with Donald Trump and Trump has said good things about me in front of Musk. We've got a good relationship with him."

on the one hand, i can imagine musk being deluded enough to think this is worth doing

on the other, he's surely too mean to give that much money to a loser like farage who is in no position to do anything for him anytime soon (or probably ever)

worth saying that farage is an habitual liar and probably thinks it's a good idea to put this about

He gave Trump 45M per month so he probably would give this money to Farage

I wish nothing but the worst for him :heart2: He thinks he can buy the world, but all it takes is one person to prove him wrong.

trump was candidate for the repubilcan party, he always had a good chance of being president. farage is an mp for a tiny minority party who will never win a uk general election

I'm so pessimistic about British politics but even I think it would take a lot for Reform to become a serious party/actually win a general election. Their best hope is forming a coalition with the Tories.

Elon is so evil to me. Trump is evil but he's so dumb and he surrounds himself with more evil people. Elon is just the devil. Truly. And he's admired because he's the face of modern tech that bros and nerds worship. They bow down to him. All those idiots that still chose to stay at X after he put all those crazy working conditions in place is embarrassing. You can tell looking at the crew they seek validation. Elon buys all of his relationships. He's a nobody. If I see Mr. Beast interact with him post election I'm unsubscribing. I'm already put off by him giving away teslas.

He's getting braver and more shameless, but just being able to pull this off in the open shows how apathetic and unplugged the public is right now.

This man is vile.

Knows absolutely nothing about UK politics, and cites Daily Mail on a daily basis.

He needs to stay in his own lane

Agree with these. can see reform at best taking a few of the labour/tory swing constituencies (especially if the current government keeps pissing off the working class voters that got them this 410 victory) but I see a left wing coalition is far more likely given how many narrow victories labour had to greens, lib dems & snp, especially with the former two gaining so much. Clearly leftists in the uk are looking for alternatives.

Musk is the most dangerous man in western world nowadays. And I know that  he will manipulate the hell out of it of the Brazil's presidential elections in 2026.

The white working class here already openly spouts nonsense about immigrants here "taking their jobs". This would only embolden them.

Elon is a certified white supremacist.
