Imagine not knowing how a demo works at the big age of 40. 1 hour ago, crf13 said: The way she's literally said Britney had nothing to do with this and mentioned several times Britney's vocals are mixed on top of her background vocals. it's Thanksgiving and this is what fighters are clinging to They literally have nothing. Hope they celebrated Thanksgiving with a stream of MOWTY! 1 hour ago, Zack said: They stole her song AND voice! At least she wasn't scared to sue and no wonder she won the case. What a mess Must be an owl that flew in because "they" WHO? Will.i.am didn't credit one of his songwriters for her contribution nor properly explain the release strategy to her, which is why he lost in court. Britney neither stole nor took anything - she was presented with a collab, recorded vocals and walked away. 1 hour ago, St. Charles said: Wait, I always wondered why Britney had a British accent on the song. I thought she was being silly. Britney's been doing it well before there was ever a Tulisa. It's very famously an homage to Madonna. 3 2 1 5

The whole BJ fiasco alone deserves its own criminal investigation. 1

Harrier Posted November 29 Posted November 29 This song would never have been a hit without the "Britney *****" sample so all of this controversy is over nothing 7 1

TaylorsSquad Posted November 29 Posted November 29 Britney has no talent so this isn't surprising. 1 11

unclefloprry Posted November 29 Posted November 29 tbh we don't care, she speaks about this almost once a year 2 6
Mikeymoonshine Posted November 29 Posted November 29 Yeah I doubt Britney even knew the situation. Will was the one who knew Tulisa and had contacted her about it and then gone behind her back (with the producer I think). I think will thoufht if the producer gave him the beat Tulisa used then he'd get away with also stealing her writing and vocals.
godmess Posted November 29 Posted November 29 Crappy situation but this woman does not have a love for music, so I don't care what she thinks. She's put in zero effort to collect any decent songs to release. 1
rhaenyra Posted November 29 Posted November 29 She doesn't seem that bothered by the royalties she's getting it seems And she's probably making more with it being Britney and William song than if she did release it 1 1
Johnny Cash Posted November 29 Posted November 29 She steals other women's husbands, a song is nothing for her. 2 4
allforyou Posted November 29 Posted November 29 Let's be honest, it was will who stole the song not Britney, I highly doubt that she had any clue about what was going on. As others have said, in the end things worked out even better for her: the song was a huge hit worldwide (way bigger if it had been released by her) and she gets good royalties to this day. 1

I feel like this entire thread is filled with people implying Britney had no idea. I think the likelier scenario is Britney + Team knew but she couldn't really do anything about it given the situation she was in. I mean she heard the demo and emulated that vocal, she definitely was familiar with what she needed to do It's similar to the Rihanna "The Monster" situation. Although that one got cleared legally (with a forced hand), I can't imagine Rih not even recording the high notes & not realizing how the demo singer would feel
Distantconstellation Posted November 29 Posted November 29 No one is shocked Britney hasn't sung on songs in over a decade. Im glad Tulisa is getting paid. They should credit her name on the song too like they did with bebe and hey mama 1 5
Clonger Posted November 29 Posted November 29 Britney sings the entire song. This singer's vocals were used as backing vocals that's not unusual 2
Shinning Posted November 29 Posted November 29 Had this been Beyoncé, Britney fans would be in here screaming bloody murder. But since it's Britney it's all "she didn't know!!1" even though she mimicked Tulisa on the song. 1 6
JoeAg Posted November 29 Posted November 29 I thought the british accent was supposed to be an homage to her british grandma or something? that's what one of my friends said back in the day at least 1
